Meh Halloween Fuku?
19We got a spooky box yesterday hand-delivered by the talented @trillian.
The box was moving and we were legitimately scared we just inherited an office pet.
Inside were a moving puppy toy, a mystery box, 2 boxes of delicious pumpkin chocolate chip cookies (which, can I get the recipe for?), and miracle berries (which we will definitely be trying out on periscope at some point in the future).
So what was in the box?
Thanks @Trillian, you made our mediocre day.

Also, this is why we blame @medz.
@hollboll LOLZ! So much better in real life. Very nicely done, @trillian!
That is awesome! Love the airholes. Definitely above and beyond mediocre.
That is fantastically terrifying. I love it.
Do you know how many hearts you just crushed once they open this thread? Giving people hope for another fuku, only to be smacked down with reality.
That's just some great fun! This community is pretty fucking awesome.
It sounded like something was moving inside the box. I thought we're getting a mediocre puppy for a second!
@hollboll Thanks for being a good sport – the Hollboll-in-a-Box was a last minute substitution when I couldn’t get my other project to work correctly. Maybe I’ll get it worked out by Christmas, though if you are still having a snake invasion there I will have to mail it in!
The cookies are just a Betty Crocker choc. chip dry mix, and I substitute half of the butter with a cup of pumpkin. Then I add pumpkin pie spice and Hershey’s cinnamon chips.
Looking forward to the Miracle Berry Periscope. I haven’t tried them yet, but hopefully someone in the forum has done it before and can offer some helpful suggestions.
@Trillian miracle berry is cool af but don't overdo it because you'll be ingesting more acids than your body is accustomed to
lemons, tho
@Trillian Those tablets are great fun. Back in college we did beer tasting with them. Guinness was pretty fantastic. Coors light tasted fruity.
After multiple beverages we got a bit brave and pushed the tablets a bit. Drank some white vinegar (still bad) and lemon juice. Stomachs at that time were pretty much destroyed.
@hollboll. Have fun but be cautious. Eating lemons and limes was awesome.
Here's a chocolate chip pumpkin bread recipe.
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 cups canned pumpkin
1-1/2 cups canola oil
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, salt and baking soda. In another bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, pumpkin and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into two greased 8-in. x 4-in. loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks. Yield: 2 loaves (16 slices each).
@clutterbug sounds super good! I'll definitely have to try it!
