Meh. Please find and sell some 32GB Zune HDs!
7Since we have all these sansa fans I thought I would post about my favorite device/mp3 player of all time.
THE ZUNE HD!
I could go on and on on why this is the best thing ever invented… But I feel people should just buy one and try it out themselves.
Also two of mine were stolen when my house was robbed… So backups would be nice

I’ve heard nothing but good about them. Not “meh” enough for Meh to sell.
@juststephen Maybe this is the start of meh. going to meh!
I’ll be happy to send you mine once I find it after I move. I absolutely love that thing, but haven’t used it in years.
@AndyBoy I actually ended up getting a windows phone. For a while it was like my zune. Now its something else. The Zune stays stuck to my TV these days for music on the surround sound. Such a pretty interface when used with its dock.
You sure you don’t want the original Zune in Brown?
I remember when they were coming up with a new TV commercial and their theme was “Join the Social”. Pretty much before the term Social was coined on the Interwebs, or at least very early on…
@Jdub
A family member has it sitting in a closet. I can’t stand to look at the color.
I still have one of the Brown Zunes, it’s in a box in my attic along with my minidisk players, a Palm Pre (with touchstone chargers), a couple Sony Clies… and other various assorted outdated obsolete devices. The sad part is it still works, but the headphone jack is busted and it’s just not worth the effort to repair.
@Lokiparts
If you Goodwill your busted items to a large city Goodwill, sometimes they have repair ppl on staff to resuscitate stuff like that.
If it must be recycled, they do that right also. At least they do that right here. They can afford to, because of the volume it items. Recycling is a small profit center for some large Goodwills.
@Lokiparts man…I always wanted one of those brown zunes…
@Lokiparts oh man, there should be a obsolete MP3 player thread.
My wife had the Iomega Zip MP3 player, the thing would only store about 32mb of data.

Before the iPod was invented, I had a Creative NOMAD MG. It was even supported by iTunes. Apple purchased the rights to Soundjam that led to iTunes. I had bought my first car, some two door Saturn that was way to small for me. But, I did install a new radio with an auxiliary headphone jack to connect the Nomad to it. But, it hardly had any space to store music so I just used burned CDs

Those were the days
@Kevin That’s awesome! I think I still have my old Creative Nomad Jukebox somewhere too. That thing seemed like magic when I first got it. It was about the size of a portable CD player but weighed like 4 times as much. It had something like a 5GB hard drive in it and rate at which it devoured AA batteries was unreal… But it was the future.
@f00l Oh I could never give them up. Someday when my kids are older I am going to inflict these devices on them. This way they can have a better appreciation of where whatever electronics they are playing with in the future have evolved from. This is why at least a few times a year I charge them up and power them on and make sure they actually still function.
@Kevin Oh jesus. I remember those.

@Kevin
Have some mo3 players in a box somewhere.
Still use my 128GB IPod Classic every now and then. Because I have a bunch of classical music, plus all of Harry Potter, Tony Hillerman, John Le Carrie, Michael Lewis, and a bunch of audiobooks about the mortgage and investment madness that lead to the Crash of 2008 on it.
And it works great. And the interface is fine.

I love my Zune HD.
Alas, I’ve given it up for my iPhone.
It’s a wonderful device, but between my Spotify account and my ongoing effort to carry less stuff, I had to retire it.
I loved mine, too, but the usb port on mine died years ago
I loved mine, but I gave it to my little brother when I started working from home. I liked that I could transfer music to it over Wi-Fi
