Me thoughts on some Meh headphones and earbuds.
2So I just sat down with all the headphones and earbuds I bought from Meh, along with some original Beats Studios and some quality Shure E2 buds for comparison.
JLab Hi-Fi noise reducing earbuds:
Surprisingly not bad. The sound quality was not that different than the Shures. Yes, you can tell a difference, but not a $100+ difference. I would buy this model again any time it's up for sale.
JLab "Premium and "Pro" earbuds:
TERRIBLE. Both of these SUCK BAD. The "premium" actually sound like you are listening to a pair of earbuds through a toilet paper roll. I wouldn't even let my kids use these they are so bad. I guess it's possible that I got two pairs of duds, but man, these suck bad.
808 Audio:
The bass is right up there with the Beats, but the highs and clarity are lacking. Still, the audio quality is not bad. The thing with these is they just feel cheap. The pads don't fit on my ears very well because the band is too narrow for my head. Unlike the JLabs, I think these are perfect headphones for the kids.

I've also been really pleased with the Dec. 30 JLab buds. A friend of mine captures live recordings and I'm listening to fingers on guitar strings with these things. The one bitch I have on 'em is true of almost every earbud -- I wish there was a quick visual cue already in place to tell left from right. But I'd buy a few more if the opportunity arose.
Has anyone actually use those noise-reducing headphones that showed up in a bunch of fuku bags last go-round? I'm traveling this weekend and haven't had the chance to check 'em out, but if they can handle plane noise, they're worth carrying.
@editorkid The "noise reducing" headphones from the Fuku are terrible. I'd be ashamed to put them in the upcoming exchange. Yes, they are that bad.
@Pavlov Thanks for taking the bullet. I'll just bring the cheapo JLab earbuds. Who would have thought that headphones barely good enough to give away wouldn't be top-notch?
Wait. You have your 808's? Still waiting for ours. . . but at least we have the tracking number.
Yep, my JLab "Premiums" were utter shat
The JLabs are usable with the rubber cement hole fix described in the product thread, but you'll probably only ever use them as an emergency back-up, IMO.
