So March 29th could have been: National Nevada Day, National Lemon Chiffon Cake Day or this. I picked this.

Fun Fact: Rick and Margie Segel founded National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day in honor of couples like his parents whose successful hat shop opened in 1939 and grew into a 10,000 square feet and $2 million dollar clothing store.

How do you support this day? BUY STUFF…like whatever Meh is peddling.

I wouldn’t characterize Meh as a mom and pop operation. Try and buy local today. Too late for me, I’m eating Arbys as I read this, because I had a bogo offer that I picked up on my way home from the dog park. But I’d have stopped at Tacos Chinampa (a family operated taco shop I like) instead if I’d read this first.

- @moondrake you are correct, when I read the post about today, it implied we should support by going into a “for reals” store to BUY STUFF. Whatever store you choose, I am sure you can wish them a “Happy Belated National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day” by just buying something from them tomorrow.

Shouldn’t National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day be Feb 29th because they are becoming more and more difficult to find?
