Look Smart Trivia: Eggs
5Birds lay 'em. Bees lay 'em. Even those crazy monotremes lay 'em. That’s the story of, that’s the glory of EGGS! We’re serving five photos of eggs. You name the species. Good luck cracking them - we hope it’s not overly easy. Insert signoff catchphrase here!
Well, we know how @kdemo spent the 1990s. That explains the big win in our '90s Movie Comedies quiz yesterday. @kdemo, we hope the money you save with that $5 coupon will help toward clearing up your debt for all those VHS late fees.

@Ignorant That toad is so gross. And congrats!
@Ignorant The shark egg looks like it’s from a lesser spotted common dogfish shark. Great White’s do live birth. Thank you Google.
@sammydog01 wow really?
@Ignorant Yes, and the gestation is a year. So I assume you gave those answers without the assistance of Google which makes me seriously impressed.
/giphy impressed
(I got stuck after caviar.)
@sammydog01 I know shark eggs because there’s usually a shark egg exhibit setup at the entrance to Sea World San Diego, but I completely guessed at everything in parentheses.
@Ignorant I used to have an annual pass to Sea World- back before they had rides. I went every weekend to watch tourists tease the walruses with squid before getting blasted in the face with walrus spit. Good times.
@Ignorant @sammydog01 please tell me you do not give money to SeaWorld anymore
You can’t trick me! That’s an avocado!
@ELUNO And I’m pretty sure number 5 is a bunch of chickpeas.
@ELUNO @Limewater
And number two is blackberry conserve.
Thank you @JasonToon.
Does anyone have a Netflix return envelope they can send me?
@kdemo yes I have many. Are you dt seattle right now?
@moonhat - Oh sorry! That was supposed to be a joke because Jason mentioned movie late fees. I have only used streaming for a while now. Those red envelopes were ubiquitous back in the day though, weren’t they?
I used to think they were keeping USPS afloat. My mother still uses them, I think.
Are you in Seattle? Is the Alaskan Way changeover traffic as horrendous as predicted?
@kdemo hah! Yes I still do the Netflix dvds. I was under the impression that the discs have more variety and newer flicks than streaming? No?
But yes the closed viaduct (“Viadoom” as they’re calling it) has caused some problems (the busses and the sounder train are somewhat fuller but it’s not too bad) but it’s not as horrific as they were predicting, luckily.
@moonhat - Last I checked (years ago) new movies did come out on DVD a few months before streaming. Streaming is easier though, if you don’t mind waiting for the new stuff.
I get overwhelmed with all the choices.
LOL - Check this out:
Looks like they’ll be charging tolls to pay for charging tolls.
