@tinamarie1974 I can’t say whether you need to watch it, but it might not be a complete waste of time. Over on RottenTomatoes, the audience rating is 66% positive, so it’s probably not terrible.
@tinamarie1974 It’s a RomCon from 1958, with Jimmy Stewart, witches, warlocks, and a feline familiar named Pyewacket. It spawned a bunch of TV shows like Bewitched and Sabrina. If Die Hard and Home Alone are Christmas movies (and I think they are) then it is a Christmas movie. Whether it rates as a good Christmas movie is a matter of personal taste.
@rockblossom@tinamarie1974 The thing about it is that it’s extremely 1950’s, wonderfully so until the ending. So just be prepared for some retrograde notions of women’s fulfillment. And enjoy all the Greenwich Village witches!
@jaybird Admittedly, Die Hard has more action, if that’s what you want. But Jimmy Stewart does get some action in BBC, IFYKWIM. Plus BBC has a cat; I don’t remember a cat in DH.
BBC isn’t even a Xmas movie, what the fuck is it doing in this list? I guess it takes place at Xmas time according to its review.
Diehard all the way!
But TCM movies rock, just haven’t seen bbc so don’t know. But it’s on my list now.
I’ve never even heard of Book, Bell, and Candle… so it must be good. I’m going with that one.
Die Hard
Home Alone
/showme Bruce Willis as Elf
Die Hard!!!
/showme elf in a snow globe
/showme Targaryen in a snow globe
/showme a snow globe dying hard
Bell book and candle hands down
I’ve never seen BB&C. Do I need to watch it.

I watched the first 13 minutes of the book bell thingy so you wouldn’t have to. Die Hard all the way.

@phendrick Confirm: No cat in DieHard.

@Star2236 IT’S SORT OF A CHRISTMAS MOVIE!
Definitely Die Hard. It’s pretty much always the best Christmas movie. I was wondering when it was going to show up in the poll.
I’m 100% Bell, Book & Candle, and not just because I’ve never seen Die Hard.
Die Hard!
I went to see Die Hard on the big screen last night. Way more nudity than I remembered.
Yippie-ki-yay motherfuckers.
