I’m assuming by now most of us have our trees and lights up. It is Monday and some people could probably use the pick me up so let’s see some pictures!
I haven’t put up a tree this year. Didn’t do it last year either. I have one in a box I bought on clearance at the end of the 2018 season. I normally buy a live tree but in 2018 I had a very hard time finding one that was narrow enough for my house. So I ended up getting a fake one for about $25 after Christmas so I didn’t go through that hassle again.
Fake trees don’t make me as happy, so I don’t know if I’ll bother at this point since we are so late into the season.
I think 2021 will be the year I get my shit together.
At least I decorated the outside.

@RiotDemon I don’t notice much of a difference between fake and real except the smell. Thought maybe they have something like this around you somewhere?

haven’t done a tree in over 20 years. decided at some point the hassle of taking it down wasn’t worth it. did fake a couple of years, and since then, the collectables have been in storage.
So I learned a new decorating term this year, buffalo plaid. Wth. Buffaloes wear plaid now? Anywho, it’s black and white decorations this year. It would be great if I could find my meh ornaments, but I’m pretty certain swmbo has hidden them.
@sammydog01 Yes, I saw him at Target, in red and in black and white. So far I have resisted, but I did find some decorative ones at TJMaxx, one of my main sources for balloon dogs. I have quite a collection now, but alas I am still missing a purple one. And thanks for thinking of me
@sammydog01 Thought you might be interested know that there are Squeakee Minis available now for about $9.99 at places like Amazon, Target and Walmart.
@Kyeh yes. She really needs to make that photo into one. That silly little kitty hangs out in the tree every year and I guess thinks his job is to keep an eye out for Santa. While in disguise as a tree ornament.
We bought this relatively little artificial tree about 5 years ago. It’s just the perfect size for this corner of our living room. We have a close to 100 ornaments, but starting last year, we only decorate with those that are part of our story…home, pooch, memorials to those that have left us, etc. We really enjoy sitting in front of it, and yes, we are those people that have the tree up until spitting distance of Valentine’s day.
There is a tree that is upright that can probably be seen from the window of the bonus room all year long and has not been moved in at least 3-4 years. So if you want a sad tree… Lol

A little late, but one of the four we have set up in the house…
. This is the kids one, which has ornaments that we have given the kids each year.
No room for a tree, but I finally got around to taking a picture of my Christmas décor. Mehrry Christmas to one and all.
This was all we could manage this year. Still, it does help set the mood. The pine-scented diffuser helps a bit.
