Last Straw
4I think I’m officially done with Meh. I have been a member for years and this last instant regret kit was the nail in the coffin for me. I get “regret”’is in the name, but they usually come with some decent stuff.
This one came with some TrackR garbage. It is literal garbage because the company died years ago and you can’t get the app to use them. I got a Switzerland travel power adapter, an air filter replacement for some random air filter, and the only thing i got that was somewhat useful was a Meh can koozie and the meh bag. This box was also a lot smaller than usual and was $30.
I just feel like an idiot at this point. Meh

EDIT Switzerland is very nice, though. Should work across all of mainland Europe. But most chargers now phone/laptop work anywhere and you don’t need that bulky plug thing they’ve been trying to unload for years.
I feel the same way. The last 5 irks have been really bad. I had a couple that would have been OK if I was a girl. Lots of makeup type stuff handbags girls coats hair removers. Thats the good stuff out of 5 irks. When they were hard to get and 5 bucks they were way better.
@Neech I got a large bunch of “girl” stuff my wife didn’t even want to look at. And just discovered a citrus juicer in a box I got. Not sure if good or not; looks new. But cheap citrus juicers don’t last long.
I mean. Yes. I have trackers and cases and stuff still in a box to go to the thrift store. Although some of that I’m rethinking. At one point maybe useful for a kids project but they are probably ewaste now.
They can go in with the rest of the ewaste…
The way they are structured currently is to encourage you to buy other stuff. I never buy one unless I find enough other stuff on meh to use the coupons.
It is definitely a far cry from woot in 2004 or 2005. Whenever a fellow ECET introduced me to it and we stayed all night.
Which radically changed. Also very different than 10 years ago with meh. I miss the OH SHIT! Reports.
That being said. If the meh changes are the worst of your concerns I’m very. Very happy for you.

@Num1Zero Yeah, I have a ton of those TrackRs too. Someone should open source them so that we can try to make them useful. I think meh went in big with them before the apple tracker came out, and they died on the vine. Soooooo, meh probably has a lot of them.
