@lilpaox Do you have it in a poorly ventilated corner or something? I bought two of these last time, and they’ve been solid. Probably my best Meh purchase.
@veperl so am I, but this is the wrong place. Meh likes to cycle between indoor Foscam units that will either be faulty out of the box or die five days after warranty expiration or cameras like these (and their D-Link brethren) that require you access their site or software to view the damn things.
@kensey that seems to be the gist of the reviews on Amazon. The operational documentation is very sparse, and all access seems to go through Kodak’s cloud site (isecurityplus.com). Google searches for third party apps, NVR, or Blue Iris all turn up blank for this camera. My guess, no direct access.
I like how they went to the trouble of clarifying that, while it could run off a power bank as pictured, a power bank was not included.
But then there’s no mention of how this camera, pictured for scale next to a 12 oz. can of totally-not-Kroger-brand Blackberry Citrus Seltzer Water, doesn’t come with a can of the aforementioned beverage upon purchase.
I’m going to buy a dozen of these cameras, and I expect a 12-pack to be included.
We bought six collectively over two sales. Works like a charm. In for three more. The wide viewing angle eliminates the need for a panning function. Hooked them all up for $100 annual plan.
Got one of these when it ran less than 2 months ago, and very disappointed! Can hardly EVER access it from phone app, but not sure if it’s the camera’s Wi-fi or what…
I got a couple when they were offered before. Watching for critters in the backyard (raccoons) and for monitoring the main part of the house. The software is annoying and poorly laid out. Between the app frequently failing to log in to the website and the camera’s weak antenna resulting in a poor wifi connection it can get frustrating. Lastly I wish the camera could pivot horizontally. I have it mounted on a 4x4 post on the patio but I’d like to turn it slightly to the left. The only way to do this is get shims or washers and put them under the base. Oh, and don’t try to mount these sideways. The image can’t be rotated unless you find a way to do it in post processing.
All that said, they’ve been kind of fun to play with.

110 cartridge?
@norman8 I spent two summers working at Kodak building pocket instamatic cameras on the evening shift. The times of my life…
@sammydog01 I forgot about that ad. Should have taken a picture.
Come on Meh, you sold wifi cameras 5 days ago. Get some variety please.
@cengland0 Variety? Jeez, you must’ve missed out on the box full of sharp things that they were just selling yesterday.
A step up from random trash. Now it’s specific trash.
Maybe it’s the tequila, but the snark in today’s Meh is great. Even then, $19 or $29 would have been a lot better for this carp.
Dave?. . .Dave?. . . They’ve changed my name Dave?
35mm? Kodachrome?
I can’t seem to develop a use for this.
@mehgrl I shutter at the very thought.
@mehcuda67 perhaps if this product had more exposure?
@KillSw1tch Definitely! Their marketing needs more customer focus. Perhaps a flash sale.
@mehcuda67 I can’t think of any negatives to that idea!
A bit spendy for 720p.
Ooh, a new flavor of seltzer!
So now you offer trust and relationship advice - Mehbe you should add that to your business model! Or Mehbe not.
Looks more like HAL 9000 than Sauron to me.
Uh, you’re not watching me right now, are you meh?
/buy price=$20
@medz It worked! Your order number is: whiny-herbivorous-cricket
/image whiny herbivorous cricket
@medz lol. If it didn’t work, I think it’s because you didn’t put two dashes before price.
Overheats and loses connection after being plugged in for a day.
@lilpaox picky picky
@lilpaox Do you have it in a poorly ventilated corner or something? I bought two of these last time, and they’ve been solid. Probably my best Meh purchase.
Seltzer will never replace the banana!
Kodak? Does it come with these?
@droopus GE and Sylvania made them
@cranky1950 True but the Instamatic with a flashcube was almost cliche back then…
@droopus I liked when they came out with the110 cameras with the flipflash that was almost as big as the camera.
These cubes were great to take apart. Once you figured out how to flash them there were many fun things they could be used for…
@rustyh3 The original ones needed a battery, but the magic cubes were fun.
@rustyh3 Like burning your fingers if you happened to be holding the bulb.
@mehcuda67 Well hey life is a learning experience.
Three for $58 I might go for it. But, am looking for rainproof, outdoor camera ,.

@jnanas So there’s no direct access to the camera stream?
@kensey that seems to be the gist of the reviews on Amazon. The operational documentation is very sparse, and all access seems to go through Kodak’s cloud site (isecurityplus.com). Google searches for third party apps, NVR, or Blue Iris all turn up blank for this camera. My guess, no direct access.
Is there a way to copy the images/video to your own custom server/location to avoid the need to rely on their cloud storage service?
I bought one last time around. Nice little camera, especially for this price.
Missed out on it last time because I had already used up my disposable income allowance for that month. I want to see se it as a poor mans doorbell

@kungfuqua see there’s your problem right there, the soda is caffeine-free…a man’s gotta have his caffeine.
@KillSw1tch I need an “after 3pm” beverage, though. So I can sleep soundly under the watchful eye of 12 WiFi HD cameras.
Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean everyone isn’t pointing their spy cameras at you.

Even dead it would be a good theft-deterrant for your Amazon packages on your front porch.
