Kids say the darndest things

Kids come in all ages. What are some of the things your kids have surprised you with?

Mine are older and are all aspiring scientists, here’s a smattering of prose that perhaps someone in the forum can put to music:

Chala: A watched pot never boils and a watched PCR never finishes. #science #lifeofagradstudent… I have to say that it seems a little too soon for CRISPR in humans. On the other hand, we will never know if it is possible until we try!

#3: CAM-Thiaz, we know antibiotics are becoming ineffective since bacteria are figuring them out but, with science, we can design new antibiotics that target specific bacteria, those little suckers…

Peanut: Warning: terrible physics joke below. Climate change is real.
So…
A person on the street today asked me if I believe in climate change.
I responded: “no, I prefer the Heisenberg picture.”

In physics, the Heisenberg picture is a formulation (largely due to Werner Heisenberg in 1925) of quantum mechanics in which the operators (observables and others) incorporate a dependency on time, but the state vectors are time-independent, an arbitrary fixed basis rigidly underlying the theory.

Here’s my idea of the Heisenberg picture:
