tl;dr? Not understanding quite what this system is. Is this all-in-one as a security system or just a supplement to their other products? My eyes fell out trying to read all that.
@midnightplatinu the keypad is a loud speaker siren that connects to an app, it listens for the high pitch noise of an alarm going off and sends a notification to the phone app.
With the motion sensors added the keypad can be linked so they trigger events like the siren to go off. And you can do things based on a code entered, like enable or disable or silent mode where the “alarm” is still on and your phone gets motion notifications but the siren doesn’t go off.
That’s my interpretation anyway. Weird ecosystem.
And very importantly idk what parts of this require the “subscription” to work. Or if you really want your “security” system to all depend on the internet being constantly connected (I guess tons of people are dumb enough to accept that with ring devices though, so there’s that), giving all these devices full access to your wifi, and running everything through some server in china.
I have this kit but I’ve never used because of all the above, and at best it seems like a scam to make people pay for “service”.
I just got it because the price is good for the hardware to mess with and repurpose for projects… Would be a really cheap way to have tons of motion sensors if i could get them working with HA. Which maybe I’ll get to in ten years, it’s in line right after I finish a project for repurposing trackrs…

My dog already feels underloved; i’d hate for it to undergo further rejection.
/showme rejected pets
@mediocrebot Gee, i feel more rejection than those seem to be experiencing.
