@somf69 the ginsu set was one of my first eBay purchases when I was still in HS. Got six sets of those things. They were super sharp and the handles were way too thin to be comfortable to hold for a long time. I remember moving out and then visiting years later. My parents still had a bunch of the steak knives and they still worked great.
Meh. But you can feel free to throw the paring and bread knives (the only types of kitchen knives can still be somewhat usable when cheap) into my next fuko.
I was just thinking the other day I could use a better chef’s knife, but I’ve been spending too much lately and don’t really need the whole set. . . meh
Knives felt pretty thin compared to knives I’ve had before, but I gotta say, they started much sharper than the Farberware set that I have, and they’ve stayed that way. I sharpen all my knives each time before I use them, but these keep the sharpness so much better than my other set and I use them every day. Very good set of knives.

santoku: 9.25
utility: 7.08
paring: 4.19
all have free shipping.
@Seeds damned Amazon jumpy prices. Impossible to nail down.
It’s actually a paring knife, not pairing.
(In your price comparison, I see you have it spelled correctly)
@curtise Damn, and I went and bought too of them.
@rpstrong I sea what you did they’re.
@narfcake @rpstrong and Eye see watt ewe did their
@curtise Thanks! Fixed.
@curtise If you cut something in half…don’t you have a pair??
Comes out to $39.02 with free shipping on all of them on Amazon. Seems like the extra $7 would be worth it to me for the faster shipping.
@cajunbob Came here to say that. Meh is $37 if you don’t have VMP, and Amazon is $39.02.
@cajunbob howcome @rickparkerz is getting it $.10 cheaper than us?
@4771cu5 that guy sucks at math i bet.
The links to the Amazon price comparisons range from $4.19 to $9.25 and total $38.92, not $74.82.
I’ll do it for $21 but nah at $32
These things look more like toys than any serious kitchen utensil. But Irk wielding one is going to give me nightmares tonight.
if it came with a Rabbi it would be perfect for a bris-kit.
@alacrity Try the veal. Are you here all week?
@mike808 veal? I’m still chewing through the sous-vide baby arm confit… and no, I’m not all here at any point in time.
fyi- these make shitty waffles.
I’m loving the NBA references lately. Keep it up meh.
The naked chef. By far the 2nd best cooking show. The best being good eats.
@melliott Alton has taught me so much, in such corny cheezy wheys…
Most of these are not allowed in London anymore. It looks like Irk is the reason.
If they had Bluetooth, maybe…

Paring knife. Not “pairing.” You idiots apparently don’t know about homophones.
@Dizavid
@Dizavid That’s totally unPC. The preferred term is :
“LGBT communication device”.
@chienfou @Dizavid That’s an accepted term, but the preferred term has gotten up to “LGBTQI communication device” (at least, according to [Wiki].1
@Dizavid @rpstrong damn it’s hard to keep up…
$37 on Amazon.

These blades were inspired by Kai from Dogtown?!? I gotta have them! Smash, smash, suh-MASH!!!
But are we sure that they aren’t made in China?
@Larry1977 No, no, we are almost certain that they were made in communist red China…
I was almost ready to buy but based on the Amazon price mentioned here, the deal is not good enough.
I still have a couple of sets of Jamie Oliver knives in a box somewhere.
I still haven’t opened up my set of Oster knives.
@therealjrn I still haven’t opened a set of Cuisinart knives. I’m pretty sure my Ginsu knives went to Goodwill unopened but so many boxes…
Knives with no reviews. Hm.
I don’t need this.
@hssina What do you need?
@therealjrn moms and baby accessories
@hssina You don’t need anything for dad?
Women with knives…my greatest nightmare…
@eeterrific
@eeterrific @RiotDemon Women with knives are HOT!
@eeterrific @mfladd @RiotDemon
@mfladd
@eeterrific here’s a good reason:
