Q: How do I track my order? A: Our advice: live your life for a week or two, your thing will just show up. But if it’s been awhile, check My Orders (which is also in our footer), we’ll put a tracking number there when it’s shipped. Q: Where’s my email receipt? A: We didn’t send you one. Rather than try to find a receipt in your already overflowing inbox, just head over to My Orders.
@RexieCat we don't actually send confirmation emails at this time (though enough people have asked for it that we may end up biting the bullet soonish).
Since this question comes up so often, why not put it on the order confirmation screen that gives you your order number. Simply state on that screen that no email will be sent to you and you can check your orders by clicking on the orders link at the bottom of the page.
I will use my business consulting genius to solve this one. (Feel free to make a Powerpoint of all this, plus also send me money & free stuff). People hate getting email. People love getting packages. People like to know their order went out. Obvious solution? Instead of an email, send a small but ornate package with a note inside saying the order has been shipped. Include a second note saying to ignore the first note if it arrives after the shipped item. If that gets too expensive just include the box with the notes inside the box for the item itself. Free shipping, pretty much! Also I am a genius (needed to say twice just in case not obvious).

You can find your order details at https://meh.com/orders
Stand your ground. We'll learn this eventually. And you can all be heralded as trendsetters in the future.
I much rather enjoy not having an email receipt- one less thing to eventually delete.

Problem solved.
Myth #1: People read on the web http://uxmyths.com/post/647473628/myth-people-read-on-the-web
Big flashing red text, then.
Even if we put one giant button that fills the entire screen you're on people would just click on through.
Hey, where are our order confirmation emails?? :)
I suggest that there be an account option to receive an email at check out, but the email is incredibly brief with out much info.
I think there should be a box at checkout to request a confirm email. Then an email should be sent that says "Request Denied."
@DaveInSoCal I agree about the box at checkout, but it should have JavaScript move the box away from the mouse so it can never be clicked.
@starblind Awesome.

I DO love packages! And I also hate email. And snail mail. Genius, you are.
