@PhysAssist Agreed. I got a pair of Justin for going out, and some Ariat for riding my bike. Worth the price paid. If I was younger and had the extra money, I’d love to try on some Lucchese, but I’ve paid less for a used car.
@detailer@PhysAssist When I was stationed in Abilene, “west” Texas, and was seriously getting into motorcycling, I started wearing Justin boots because they were affordable and I could wear “cowboy” boots without being an actual shit-kicker. (Actually closer to the “dingo” style.) Wore out many pairs through the years. A lot of cheaper boots available then, but none that held up as well.
Might shop for another pair now that I think about it.
@lisagd@pmarin Poor Lisa, in setting an expectation that people will come to their senses, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Next year they will be releasing croc ski boots…
@Kyeh@lisagd@mehcuda67@pmarin Someone needs to convince them to release a full-body Croc that duplicates the Plastic Army Men look. This would, of course, give me one more thing to look at in utter disdain.

No.
@werehatrack but also, Yes!
Will we be seeing those here on Meh in 6 months, or will it take a whole year?
(Or will they actually be popular enough with regular people that they’ll succeed?)
@xobzoo They’ll sell out - all their other ugly limited editions did!
@Kyeh @xobzoo “Regular” people? I’m glad you didn’t say “normal”!
$120?!?! What a croc(k)!
@ircon96 Definitely a " get what you pay for" deal. My first pair of Frye’s were more than that in 1973.
@detailer @ircon96
Fryes were worth it, Crocs, not so much…
At least IMHO.

God give me strength. When will people come to their senses?
@lisagd not this year, apparently

@lisagd @pmarin
@mehcuda67 Wow, I hope they pay you for that idea!
@Kyeh @lisagd @pmarin But then I would be (officially) complicit in the decline of the human species. Hmmm.

@werehatrack like this?
/youtube Disney green army drum corps
@djslack Exactly. They’ve had some variation of that contingent at Disney World as far back as 1995.
@Kyeh @mehcuda67 @pmarin And we can’t have that.
@djslack @werehatrack I’ve seen green army man Halloween costumes online, but never a drum corps.
@mehcuda67 @pmarin Hope springs eternal…
That’s potentially hilarious but no way I’m spending that kind of money for a laugh.
@djslack And if you did, the joke would be on you.
@djslack @werehatrack Kind of like an IRK.
