A bastard stole my lightning cable from my desk at work. Wanted to buy a Lightning cable this evening and it was $20. This speaker is going to be harder to steal
@clarinetbob Nope, chacha is characterized by a rock step and two triples (1/2 1-2-3 1/2) Where Rumba is characterized by a slow and two quick steps (1 (2) 3 4 ). The dancers are doing a side basic which is unusual to see in Rumba (a dance generally using a box step). Chacha uses a side basic nore frequently. They are both latin dances so i understand your confusion.
@eyewerks What I find interesting is their statement from before is finally correct (20% less statement).................... However instead of using that statement in this write up, they decided to go with $10.
I'd rather drink water out of a mudhole in the Serengeti at the peak of the dry season than buy an Apple product, then purchasing yet another speaker dock. If they can't figure out how to make Apple comply with mini usb screw em.
@Ua2 why are you wanting them to comply? I'd love the Lightning to replace micro usb. Or have usb c replace it. I want drunk proof connectors everywhere. Where it matters not which way you plug it in.
Glad I got these when they were first available for the cheaper price. Docks work great, sound fine. And raising the price? Good joke there meh!
So, I'm going to just "vote with my wallet", and pass on this deal. You had a few days where it seemed like you'd finally gotten your groove...but man did you trip up and fall down today. I suppose tomorrow you'll be selling those useless grill wrap things for just $99.99?
In case you're one of those folks (perhaps new here and wondering what all the SDF cracks are about) who isn't fully loaded with docks. . . we own both models and. . .
1) Unlike most speaker docks, these actually sound really good. Clean, tight, and minimal boomy, distorted bass. Not a lot of bass, but I very much prefer that to fake bass.
2) Use case 1: the Micro works well as a dresser-top/night stand cable declutterer. Charge your phone on it rather than fumbling thru a squirrel's nest of cables.
3) Use case 2: in addition to being iPad capable, since the Mini includes a lithium rechargeable battery, (Micro needs AAAs) it is handy for moving around for listening.
4) It appears both models use similar/same two speaker drivers, but the larger Mini looks like it might have a bass reflex port (opening). They sound more similar than different.
I got the pair last time, hoping to use them as audio and data docks. No dice - the USB port you see on back is in, not out. So, you can't plug a these into your computer that way and sync your phones, just in case anyone else was hoping that.
Something to note: the lighting connector doesn't stick out very far, so if you have a cover/case on your phone, you're probably going to need to take it off every time you want to use the dock (at least this is my experience with a thin-ish Incepio phone case). Makes it a bit less functional.
@Hamiltwan i just use the usb port on the back, plug my lighting cable into the back and into the phone, that way i get to jam without having to remove the case.
even the slightest of bumpers is too thick for the connector... but outside of that I thoroughly enjoy the Micro I purchased from the Meh. JBL docks have always been among the best and the micro is no different.
sadly for meh... i don't need any more as the one i have works just fine. that said, thank you so much for the AAA batteries yesterday as I was just about out thanks to said JBL Micro Dock.
I think I have bought 5 mini and 5 micro so far for my friends. They all love the dock. It has pre-set sound control problem and power save control but still I am very satisfied. It does not support Bluetooth but 'Hey Siri' works just fine with me.(and even more convenient. Thanks Meh
So this is a photo of the JBL onbeat Mini Ipad dock. The one thats about 12inches by 6 inches by 4inches tall... The dock does not allow my ipad air to have a case on it. Like Any case on it. So- there is an easy fix. There is that silly piece of rubber that sits on the side of the lightning connector. Use a pencil or screw driver and lift up that glued rubber that is six inches long that goes around it. IN the photo above I have removed the rubber and placed it for safe keeping 1 inch away in front of it. Now it allows my ipad air to be used in the dock within the case.
@BigOhOfN oh well thanks for the suggestion, no go on the iphone 5s and leather case, no go on an ipad with some generic silicon case... I will continue my quest to modify my mini to work with my cases ;)
@BigOhOfN Option 2 is pretty simple Simply buy a Lightning Extender for base stations. Sits right on top and extends it half an inch higher. http://amzn.com/B00KH08E1A

SDF is back! Wooo!
Yeah! Speaker dock Friday FTW!
Happy SDF!
@JonT in for three fox kits. Oh wait its a speaker dock......out for three
Speaker dock Friday lives!
As usual... the poll was missing the most obvious answer
"Nothing!"
Need less Apple products.
@Skylord123 You can plug almost anything in to them with a male to male audio cable. See last image.
@Rumple Yes, but at that point I would rather have a dock without the phone holder that is useless unlesss you have an iphone.
A bastard stole my lightning cable from my desk at work. Wanted to buy a Lightning cable this evening and it was $20. This speaker is going to be harder to steal
@Mehsen next time buy monoprice cables, they have lifetime warretys( i just rmaed a micro usb cable last week and it was no hassle at all) they are running a sale of 3 MFi certified lightning cables for $20 including shipping this week http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=112&cp_id=11213&cs_id=1083101&p_id=13225&seq=1&format=2&cl=res&utm_source=150429_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=13225&utm_campaign=150427_cablefrenzy
@communist Warranties against theft?
@Mehsen time for a hidden desk cam. :)
I think I would rather see a freaking rumba
@Veloslave
@Moose Isn't that the cha cha?
@clarinetbob Nope, chacha is characterized by a rock step and two triples (1/2 1-2-3 1/2) Where Rumba is characterized by a slow and two quick steps (1 (2) 3 4 ). Now i want to go ballroom dancing :/
@Jellysound What difference does it make, rumba, chacha, jive . No one in my family wants to dance. Sigh.
lamentable-flimsy-ferret
More crap I don't need.
@shortman they feed on that :(
SDF
Mayday, speaker dock friday on a May day!
If only I had bought the AAA batteries yesterday!
Alas, I have none, so cannot purchase the docks.
Sigh.
@mamawoot I almost didn't buy AAA, but decided I'd regret it if I didn't. I'm glad I don't regret it.
Does SDF = WTF?
@eeterrific Yes. Yes it does.
Happy its SPF, but i'm tired of seeing this particular dock setup. I must say I have the smaller one and its awesome though.
@Stallion It's different! The micro is $2 more than it was last time.
@jseay65
@JonT
It's the return of Speaker Dock Friday!
So these are for Apple products only? Why?
I need one for my Galaxy S4 and my Galaxy Tab3
@DM396 see last image. you may already have a male to male audio cable.
Your logic is flawed. No. Meh.
Meh....NO WAIT, I'll take 2!!! 😁
Price increase?
Are you guys fucking kidding us?
I'd be in for a mini at $18.
Not a cent more.
Convey my offer to the Snappy one.
@eyewerks What I find interesting is their statement from before is finally correct (20% less statement).................... However instead of using that statement in this write up, they decided to go with $10.

@Ua2 I guess that means we may see you on Naked and Afraid. I just hope you're a chick, ...with a nice ass. (Cue GeriatricDragon)
Starting the month off right. Although I'd love 2x mini at a discount. Hey inventory guys.....
meh. I am soooooo glad I didn't stay up until midnight for this.
Glad I got these when they were first available for the cheaper price. Docks work great, sound fine. And raising the price? Good joke there meh!

You can always count on certain things in life.
Death. Taxes. Speaker Dock Friday.
No Georgia Red. . . for that alone, meh.
I didn't need these since I already have three but I just sold a co-worker for two. He now will have one of each!

I just reread my bass comment above. To be clear, these speaker docks do not have distorted or boomy bass at all.

@EthanP ㅋㅋㅋ 안녕하세요 sherryblue 입니다... 저 이번에 좀 많이샀습니다...

Boy, someone in the northern part of Delaware sure wanted a bunch of speaker docks.
Well...they are black...but not black on black. Meh. Really, no one in the family wants to hear my music.
oooo yeah wow cool! owait. apple? um... no, i don't have one.
even the slightest of bumpers is too thick for the connector... but outside of that I thoroughly enjoy the Micro I purchased from the Meh. JBL docks have always been among the best and the micro is no different.

My inferiorPhone is a work device and I recently started interviewing for better jobs, so I'm going to pass on this. Even at the higher price. Sorry.

@BigOhOfN sadly, this does not work on the micro.
@BigOhOfN haha so simple, I destroyed one of the dock connectors trying to extend it... I'm gonna give this a try in a bit!
@BigOhOfN oh well thanks for the suggestion, no go on the iphone 5s and leather case, no go on an ipad with some generic silicon case... I will continue my quest to modify my mini to work with my cases ;)

@BigOhOfN $19? OUCH. There are some sub-$6 extenders out there, though how well they'd work, I don't know.
@narfcake pretty sure I paid less for the dock ;)
@thismyusername When will these Manuf. learn most people have cases and DONT want to remove them!
