Cheese rules in my home… At least 10 different varieties must be available. Smoked doesn’t count as a different variety. I think there are 12 varieties plus 10 of them with home smoke added.
@KDemo there’s a generic orange a 2yr a 4 yr all in smoked and non smoked varieties. A 10 and 11 (non smoked, I’m not a heathen). Also a double Gloucester. Smoked Danish bleu edam smoked and plain. Smoked fontina. Goat. And a neat little varietal called abergale from these guys http://www.harmonyspecialty.com/index.html
@f00l I disagree with your statement. Cheese is high in protein. Cheddar contains 7 grams of protein in a 28 gram slice (25% protein). Swiss is 8 grams (28.6%). Parmesan is 10.64 grams (38%).
A broiled T-bone steak has 21 grams of protein for an 85 gram piece. That is 24.7% protein.
The blackest shadow, of course, is cast by processed “cheese.” The word should always, like Soviet “democracy,” be framed in quotes, for no matter what the law may say, I refuse to call this cheese… It represents the triumph of technology over conscience…

I had lunch at a place called Cheezilla in the food court today. They make grilled cheese sandwiches with or without fancy stuff on them. i love that place. http://www.cheezillatruck.com/menu.html
“Why Unexpected? Well, it looks like an aged Cheddar. At first bite, it tastes like an aged Cheddar. And then something unexpected happens. The smooth creaminess of the Cheddar gives way to a tangy flavor and slightly crumbly texture, a subtle hint of salt crystallization is discovered, and it begins to taste like an aged Parmesan.”
@KDemo is that Tia Carrere?
@Elphie - Guess so.
Tia Carrere - (1987) TV Commercial: Real Cheese
@KDemo lol, I won’t ever eat swiss cheese again.

@pfarro1 - Any cheddar? It’s the single most popular cheese in the world!
@pfarro1 - Smoked fresh mozzarella sliced with tomatoes and cucumbers in vinaigrette = heaven!

@KDemo do that but mix in some cubed day old bread and some sweet onion. Sicilian bread salad.
@pfarro1 Yum. Thanks.

Tell me this: when you walk in your front door, do you have to follow a maze to get to the cheese?
@KDemo no but I might have to set try that up. Although some of my less brilliant friends might get lost.

I’m vegetarian so cheese is one of the few ways I get my protein.
@cengland0
Cheese doesn’t have that much protein. There are better ways.
Cheese + chia?

@cengland0
Guess you’re right. Musta have remembered wrong. I’m seeing chia at 23%.
I wasn’t thinking of cheese protein content compared that meat.
I heard there was going to be some special news something or other on TV today- I’m pretty sure it was about buttercrunch though.

@sammydog01 That seems about right.

@sammydog01 - Jealous.
@sammydog01 @KDemo Reminds me of a local food truck called Gorgonzilla. It has great food.
Man, you’re making me hungry & it’s past bedtime!
@compunaut
Where/where do you find them?
Want.
@f00l Not sure how active the food trucks are in winter weather? Haven’t personally been to one of the food truck parks in months…
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@compunaut
I don’t know about the food truck parks. My guess is that they’re doing fine on nice days.
The food trucks to go to biz and high traffic sites are still doing it. They seem busy enough.
