@AttyVette Expecting some sharp edgy comments tonight. I even steeled myself for them. Blue Steel, that is. Meh didn't dis-a-point with this deal. We can handle whatever you want to throw down, because these knives are a cut above those other knife deals. BRB, getting a cold glass of Tang.
@eeterrific Vegans don't make very good knives. They spend way too much time telling you how awesome it is to be a vegan knife that you just start making everything into a smoothie. This way you don't have to throw them in your trunk and disturb the hookers.
@eeterrific as a self proclaimed expert vegan (aren't we all?) I can safely say you will never regret splurging on a high end serrated "steak" knife set.
When you are used to buying grade A rare aged tofu, you are all too accustomed to the occasional chipping you experience from your average vegan straight plastic knife.
I can't tell you how many Dixie brand knives I have snapped in half while fileting my hourly meal! I was easily spending ones of dollars per month on knives alone!
BUT, now that I've broken down and admitted that Meaties like you might have the right idea when it comes to cutlery, I begrudgingly have purchased a serrated "steak" knife, and I'm never looking back!
Of the 4 set I purchased a year ago from another site I will not name, I AM STILL ON MY FIRST KNIFE!!!
Alright I don't want this to become just another vegan rant free-for-all, I've said my piece.
Ok, I broke down and am in for one set. My current set of serrated knives are ones that I got free when I signed up for a credit card in college. Now that I'm closer to retirement than college, it's time to move on and get a decent set of knives.
Snagging. I find steak knives are good for a lot of basic kitchen prep, like tomatoes, lunch meat, and cheese. I have a bunch, all shitty and cheap, and they can just linger in the dirty utensil cup until I'm almost out of them, run them through the dishwasher, and then repeat. It makes lunch prep no fuss.
Not in for knives. Need a generator deal. Thanks to meh I have flashlights. Now I know why they call Chicago the Windy City. Over 100,000 outages. My dead end st. was blocked off all day from a utility pole crashing causing a huge fire. The entrance was blocked off all day. Now in the freezing cold on my phone. I wish I was in Texas right now.
@RedOak I need it for tonight. Although, you could be correct. Now that I think about it, the meh flashlights are only good for a few times then they stop working.
@Mellaine ... Yeah, I lived in Northern Utah for 6 years, I know all about the four seasons. Nice to visit for a change but I wouldn't wanna live there.. Snow was great the first three years but it do get a bit old when it's cyclic. I wouldn't miss winter weather at all if I could afford to live in Hawaii.
@unkabob Hawaii is first on my list where I want to move. I could live in Utah because I love to ski and rock climb. If I do not end up in Hawaii it will be Napa CA. I hope within 5 years. Live simple and move to Hawaii.
Because it's the knives VMP deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, we'll buy them, because Meh can sell it. Because Meh's not our hero. It's a 3-character domain.
This does not fit the profile. This is not crap. Unless this is some kind of special run. Or Henckels has been bought out by ronson pocket fisherman and like any good buy out use name to sell true trash. But I don't think so. JA H has been around forever. And it's pro line stuff. If you need streak knifes this can't be bad. But a steak knife is not very useful for any other purpose. Kind of like a shucking knife, not good for any thing else. But JA Henckels is good stuff. Makes me wish I didn't have 4 sets of inferior steak knives. Makes me wish I still ate streak.
@Bkmack It's the "international" line with only one of the twins logo. This is crap line of otherwise good (twins logo) brand. See how it can't even cut through the chicken
@satih wow, I is nothing sacred? I I should have known.. I thanks for the Info. this goes in the "if its too good to be true" file. Many years ago there was a a car radio made by a German company called Blaupunkt. They were some of the best on the market. They were bought out by an Asian company. Shortly after I bought a" Realistic " car radio for a lot of money. It said Blaupunkt on the radio but it was trash. I'm a slow learner. I Check out the crap because I want to be punished.
Isn't this math wrong or are they counting $5 shipping, in any case it should be a number ending on a 0 or 5 not 7? We sold 158 of these. 2017 clicked meh. That's $1747 total. Shouldn't it be $1580?
@Rodytoon some live in texas and get tax added to price some live in california and get tax added to price some don't have vmp and pay shipping sometimes Irk gets in the cloud and messes with things
These Henckels have got to be more than a bit better than those crappy Oneidas sold here a while back. Those handles felt like hammer heads - that unbalanced. And these are only a couple bucks more than those knives.
@Al_Coholic Many people cut their steaks on a plate and that dulls the knives. While messy to learn, I'm still mastering the 'cutting in air' technique that ensures my blades stay sharp but I don't use shit ass serrated knives either.
@unksol I'll be the serrated snob that may give you your fix. ONLY SAVAGES USE SERRATED STEAK KNIVES!! YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST SMASH IT WITH A 5LB MALLET!!!
I bought two of these sets last time they were available. I am very pleased with the build quality as well as the functionality. If I had one complaint, it's that the handle (which is great to use) causes the knives to take up too much room in my silverware drawer. I've had to consign four of them to a different drawer.
@Strongman some live in texas and get tax added to price some live in california and get tax added to price some don't have vmp and pay shipping sometimes Irk gets in the cloud and messes with things
@thismyusername Gosh if I had just read the comments! Somebody else asked the math question already! Reading apparently presents some challenges to me as well.

Well it's knives, hope all that wanted knives are happy... oh you meant pocket knives? Specify next time... :)
@thismyusername saw what you did lol "d"
Received a set of these in a Fuku, was pleasantly surprised by them. They're well worth the $10.
@Pavlov h?
@Pavlov saw what you did too lol"h"
Yeah - placeholder then edit - many of us do that from time to time. : )
@Pavlov I see... you comment ANYTHING, and then go back and edit it... hoping that you were the first to comment... what do you win?
@justinjones41 More stars, for one.
@justinjones41 It's an old habit from the past competitiveness on posting quick quips on the poll of the day.
Today I won you asking me what I win.
@djslack It's gotta be a full moon, right??
@justinjones41 you win un-imaginable amounts of internet points.
@thismyusername Oh, I can imagine

@Pavlov I was the king of first comment before many jumped on it, but don't have the time these days anymore. Bath to you all!
Cut up sale tonight
@AttyVette That was on point.
Knives? Well, I guess I kind of asked for them yesterday...
@lljk So, does that mean you're buying them, or was yesterday nothing but a tease?
@justan79 Maybe I'm hinting at deals since I'm a secret Mediocre employee.
So secret, in fact, that I don't actually know what my responsibilities are or who's cashing my paychecks.
Knifing through the deal tonight
I'll wait for the vegan knife set...
@eeterrific Vegans don't make very good knives. They spend way too much time telling you how awesome it is to be a vegan knife that you just start making everything into a smoothie. This way you don't have to throw them in your trunk and disturb the hookers.
@eeterrific what about tofu steak or tofu turkey?
@eeterrific as a self proclaimed expert vegan (aren't we all?) I can safely say you will never regret splurging on a high end serrated "steak" knife set.
When you are used to buying grade A rare aged tofu, you are all too accustomed to the occasional chipping you experience from your average vegan straight plastic knife.

Alright I don't want this to become just another vegan rant free-for-all, I've said my piece.
@yakkoTDI You didn't understand....you use a steak knife to eat steaks...so you use a vegan knife...oooppps...don't wanna alert the authorities..
@eeterrific I hear that the vegan police are pretty strict.
The deals don't seem to be as spectacular as they have been in the past. Much easier to say Meh.
My husband got these in a fuku a while back. They're nothing super special, but he likes them and I'd say they're worth this price.
All you knives wishes you'd better cause a sell out.
@jml326 I asked for a fixed blade stabber not a slicer.
The last time you say? I guess that means I have to buy them
Declaring a sellout in the write-up. Bold move, @jasontoon. I like it.
Sir. Rated 5 star
Ooooooh, knives to put on top of the soundbar I just bought!
Oh.....wait.......the soundbar sold out before i got aroung to buying one.
Well then, fuck these knives!
@f00l i keep my knives on top of my 8 fukus I've bought. I keep them next to my pillows, Kershaw knives, and other fast selling items
@capguncowboy
No speaker docks?
Ok, I broke down and am in for one set. My current set of serrated knives are ones that I got free when I signed up for a credit card in college. Now that I'm closer to retirement than college, it's time to move on and get a decent set of knives.
But for now I'll just use these.
The Amazon link is for a streak knife set... Hardly a fair comparison
@Superllama7 boogity boogity
@thismyusername that was one of the first infomercials I ever saw...
@Superllama7 Ha, I didn't notice that. Good one.
sorry-rhetorical-tortoise
@caffeine_dude
This is Keith. He is a tortoise.
Yeah! Hit 500 meh clicks in a row today. Where's my prize? 😇
@SteveL Your prize is...a set of knives!
@justan79. Lol. I think a coupon would be better. Not sure how these would cut it with the Misses.
@justan79 7
The prize is actually a set of knives and a lighter wallet.
So many rewards!
@SteveL The stress of the possibility of missing click 501
Well, aren't all these comments pointed and sharp...
@alphaspark Ooh, feelin' edgy, are we?
I don't have a pocket for these in my tactical pants, sorry guys.
@awk Sounds like it's time for new tactical pants with additional pockets
@justan79 I like this can-do attitude.

@Mellaine you might not want the generator that would be sold here.
@Mellaine ... (he! he!) Tomorrow in the 80's.. Texas.
@RedOak I need it for tonight. Although, you could be correct. Now that I think about it, the meh flashlights are only good for a few times then they stop working.
@unkabob Rub it in. I don't mind. I kinda like surprises and adventures. We get 4 seasons. Ha ha
@Mellaine ... Yeah, I lived in Northern Utah for 6 years, I know all about the four seasons. Nice to visit for a change but I wouldn't wanna live there.. @Tin_Foil true. you go to meh for the knives they have, not the knives you might want
These Authentic D shaped handles look nothing like my D shaped handle.
@yakkoTDI They look like my handle-shaped D.
Serrated knives are easily sharpened with a round file.

raging-demonic-boron
(damn! I hate internet taxation, grrr)
Yay! I may have enough knives for my annual full length prime rib dinner now. Now how about a knife block that holds a massive number of steak knives?
Isn't this math wrong or are they counting $5 shipping, in any case it should be a number ending on a 0 or 5 not 7?
We sold 158 of these.
2017 clicked meh.
That's $1747 total.
Shouldn't it be $1580?
@Rodytoon Sales tax?

These Henckels have got to be more than a bit better than those crappy Oneidas sold here a while back. Those handles felt like hammer heads - that unbalanced. And these are only a couple bucks more than those knives.
I bought these last time. They come pretty dull. I sharpened them some and it helped a bit. They're about what I would expect for $15 steak knives.
What kind of fucked up steak are you people eating that you can wear down stainless steel on it in a few months?
@Al_Coholic Many people cut their steaks on a plate and that dulls the knives. While messy to learn, I'm still mastering the 'cutting in air' technique that ensures my blades stay sharp but I don't use shit ass serrated knives either.
Because I always use the redirect from knivesandspeakerdocks.com I shall purchase two of these.
in for a set because the wife uses them like they are utility knives.
If you could sell the J.K. Simmons knives next, I'll buy those.
Only one guy on the blade, not two. The lesser bargain line.
Wtf internet?!?! I've been waiting all night for THE snob to come in with the
"OMFG what is this and why do you need a knife to cut steak. You must be cooking it wrong"
Nothing?!?!
@unksol I'll be the serrated snob that may give you your fix.
ONLY SAVAGES USE SERRATED STEAK KNIVES!! YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST SMASH IT WITH A 5LB MALLET!!!
Did Mitch and Murray want these used in a sales promotion? Coffee is for closers.
Last chance for mediocre knives? I'm in for one set! Thank you meh!

Those sold like hotcakes; which is weird because who cuts hotcakes with a steak knife?
@UnguidedSALT someone with tough as hell hot cakes?
Math is hard: meh sold out but the numbers don't jive. What's the story?
@Strongman Sales tax and/or shipping.
@Strongman
some live in texas and get tax added to price

@thismyusername Gosh if I had just read the comments! Somebody else asked the math question already! Reading apparently presents some challenges to me as well.
@Strongman blame @Lotsofgoats :)
We've been using these for a couple of weeks now. They cut all the things. 5/7 would buy again.
