@somf69 I would put my money on the nerds in this fight. A light hammer only does 1d4 damage, while a level 1 warlock is going to have eldritch blast doing 1d10 damage at up to 120 feet.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the genius of a Harry Potter and Community crossover played vaguely straight? We could even have Pierce cameo as an instructor or something, being a real Laser Lotus. You’d have to work a bit to keep it from feeling too derivative, but there’s some fun potential here. Maybe put in a little bit of Broken Masquerade to justify the existence of a community college of magic, too. Plenty of fun options.
The familiar has been popularized in the modern era by those who play Dungeons & Dragons, as well as countless medieval based games where being awesome isn’t enough, you’ve got to have a rabbit or whatever that blows flame out of its ears.
Paper sledge hammer, so I can boink all the nerds in the head

What the heck is a familiar? Is it an emotional support animal type of thing?
@Willijs3 How do you not know?

@Willijs3 @yakkoTDI To him it’s not a familiar concept. But it is a familiar concept, and could become a familiar familiar concept, conceptually.
