@luvche21 No, but I tried really hard to learn the Cyrillic alphabet a long time ago, so I can partially transliterate some words so I can pronounce them.
Though the Slavic languages are a mystery to me, I find them fascinating as they are completely foreign to the English/Latin/Romance that we are used to.
@lumpthar You've done well learning it! Of the alphabets out there, it's on the easier side to learn, especially since it's completely phonetic.
And of the Slavic languages, Bulgarian is one of the easier to learn, at least compared to Russian. Not that I would recommend learning Bulgarian since it's not really useful....
@Lotsofgoats@lumpthar And another claim for fame for Bulgaria: they invented the Cyrillic alphabet! Кирил and Методи are quite the heroes over there, they even have an alphabet day to celebrate!
Haha. Just like US politics.
Happy birthday!
That guy's in big trouble, @snapster's gearing up for octoretaliation.
@KDemo Thanks!
@KDemo I think that guy's a little too big for breakfast though!
@luvche21 Through the miracle of Google Translate, we have arrived at the following:
Vote for STOYAN TONCHEV
POMORIE DESERVES MORE
CAN NOT CAN NOT
The last phrase seems to be a contraction of:
Боже не може да не може, боже!
which translates as:
God cannot help you, dear!
@lumpthar Do you speak Bulgarian? Or another Slavic language?
I translated that last phrase as "You can't not do anything"... it's a weird one to translate!

@lumpthar I for one love the Cyrillic alphabet, because it's great for extremely emotional emoticons

@luvche21 I suppose I should learn about some of this since I'm 1/8th Slovak
but then again I'm older than the country itself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@luvche21 That's Kiril and Metodi respectively, right? As in Saint Cyril who invented the alphabet?
@lumpthar Yep! One of their claims to fame!
@Lotsofgoats Never too late to start learning!
@sammydog01 Thanks!
@joelmw Well, alright then!
Happy Birthday! May your cake be filled with yogurt!
...that's not weird is it?
@katylava Thanks! ...I have made cake with yogurt in the batter, but never filled with yogurt. Hm.....
Happy Birthday!! I'd normally post a gif, but I'm intimidated by that campaign poster...
Did someone say yogurt cake? Happy birthday!
@jaremelz Ooh, that looks great! Maybe some kind of yogurt mousse cake?
Is that Adam Sandler?
@DrWorm Well, the Bulgarian version, Stoyan Tonchev
Ah, so this is the city he's defending:
Maybe octopi attacks aren't that rare in a city like that!
It turns out I've been really close to this city - 20 minute drive away probably!
Happy Birthday, no kidding!
Political again?!?
I come to Meh for sweet knives and speaker docks, not to be exposed to the anti-octopus pro-birthday agenda!
@trisk Well, it's a whole 2 days since my birthday, so there's not more birthday agenda.
But still anti-money-stealing-octopus-trying-to-take-over-Поморие.
YOU LIED TO ME: I regretted it immediately.
But regardless, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! WOO WOO!
