@Felton10@joelmw Wait, how else can it be pronounced?
I guess I should look at how it’s spelled and where it’s merged into other words.
English isn’t always consistent, but the spelling indicates “Meh” could rhyme with “mikveh” — but then “mehtizen” would sound like “muttizen” which seems weird.
Is this another two-dayer, as they mostly seem to be lately?
If so, do both days’ purchases count in the $20 off?
And, again, if it is two days, does the ICYMI extend across both days?
The threshold isn’t so onerous this time, but I often end up buying shit I shouldn’t (even more than I already shouldn’t) on the first day. Also, as a consequence, I mostly check out on the second day, because, damn, I already hit the limit and I’m kinda bummed.
I’m sure these questions have been asked and answered at some point, but, fuck, there’s so much fluff (including other needless repetition; so get off my dick) in the forum these days.
Thanks in advance to kind souls who guide me in the right direction.
Limited resources and limited space. Arguably too much worthless shit to begin with, and little proper financial planning.
Your other answers are consistent with my suspicions. But I appreciate them. Please, voices of authority, with the little med bag or flask, help sort us out.
@lonocat I just started tuning into the multiple day thing, when I stumbled across the post about it. That being said, I assume that only the mehrathon’s items count. I think it might say that. I’m too damned lazy to look.
I think it’s always showed the older stuff–and at least it has as far back as I can remember, even though I couldn’t say how long some of them have been continued to be available for purchase or for sure whether they apply.
@joelmw if you go to look/buy the older items, they appear with the Meh-Rathon logo in the right top of picture. Do maybe if you purchase during event , they would apply to irk discount
@lonocat Nope. Some page formatting is “always use the current version”, and that upper-left logo bit is one of them. That’s why all of the still-active holdovers have a line added which says “This offer does not qualify for a refund on the IRK!!”
@xterraguy There’s a system glitch that has been making new items load slowly for over a year now. I don’t know what’s causing it, and I don’t know if the development team has been asked to investigate it, but it hasn’t been fixed. At the midnight rollover, the main page goes completely 404 and redirects to the “Something went terribly wrong” page for as much as 30 seconds. During a 'Thon, it just makes the new item load take foreffingever.
Anybody else having problems with their meh page not refreshing when the timer goes to zero and you hit the button???
All day today mine is just staying on the current deal with I hit the button for a new deal. So if there if gonna be an irk offered, I have zero luck at getting one.
@rubyshooz59 Because they still have some and they’re gonna KEEP putting them up until they’re gone. Myself, I just bought two more and the sidedeal irk, so next time it will be someone else’s fault.
There was some talk elsewhere about this being a 2-day event. I was hopeful this morning. Did I miss something where it was spelled out as a 1-day event?
Woohoo???
IRK, come to me.
Yeehaw! (That’s the Texas form of Woohoo!)
I think we should re-named it to be called a Shit-rathon as that is what the majority of the stuff that is sold is.
@Felton10 I mean, I think we’re all welcome to pronounce it that way.

I’m gonna stick with how it’s always been.
Ugh. Sleep is highly overrated.
Three questions:

@joelmw Just the one day.

@joelmw did you see that most of the items available for the last week are still available,
AND listed as part of the Meh-rathon !

@dave Thanks, I was going to ask why you only answered the one question.
Jesus Fuck, @joelmw, pull yer head outta yer ass.

Does the mehrathon mascot look like miss minutes from loki?
Doesn’t Spring Cleaning imply getting stuff OUT of my house?
@ybmuG Yes. You can put the stuff in your trunk though…oh wait…
Why was the ICYMI link replaced with the SideDeal markdown link? It was was there when I turned in a bit after midnight but gone this morning.
Where’s the ICYMI button?
Bring back ICYMI. I got a job, I can’t be bothered to watch the shit-a-thon all day.
@xterraguy @timbogoods @rmcclel momentary glitch, it should be back now, or you can just bookmark this:
https://meh.com/forum?category=deals&sort=date-created
@dave Thanks, I was able to conjure up that URL after I posted.
@dave Thanks! I bought some jackfruit to celebrate
OK what’s the point of my browser auto-refreshing at the end of the countdown if it doesn’t load the next item?
I’ll sit there and refresh every couple of seconds afterward and it’ll take 8-10 refreshes before the new item pops up.
@xterraguy OK, the last one refreshed to the new item, but the previous 3 didn’t

I just realized the ICYMI is a sponge not a block of cheese.
@OnionSoup Did you taste it?
@barnabee I licked the screen. Definitely didn’t taste like cheese.

@Star2236 It seems to be that way for everyone today.
@Star2236 My screen is now stuck on an IRK.
/youtube that’s all folks
Why do Meh-rathons always end with a tshirt? For an HOUR???
@rubyshooz59 it’s like lemon sorbet - the Meh-rathon palate cleanser
@rubyshooz59 Because they still have some and they’re gonna KEEP putting them up until they’re gone. Myself, I just bought two more and the sidedeal irk, so next time it will be someone else’s fault.
@rubyshooz59 @ybmuG Tradition.
There was some talk elsewhere about this being a 2-day event. I was hopeful this morning. Did I miss something where it was spelled out as a 1-day event?
@romellex Early in the day yesterday, it was confirmed that it was a one-day 'thon.
@werehatrack Thank you. I did miss that.
