@Vrysen funny thing is… 11pm… Wide awake… Oh, I’ll pass time play a game and wait up to see.if it’s a Mehrathon since I’m awake.

Game ends 11:53pm (remember looking at clock and seeing 7 minutes till)… All of a sudden… So sleepy.

“Today’s not middle of month and no holiday… There won’t be a Mehrathon again until May 4… I’m going to sleep, don’t want to stay up another 7 minutes”.

5:30 alarm goes off… Check phone… "Damn it… It is a Mehrathon. ". Managed to get first irk that popped up anyway… So all is good.

@AttyVette @smigit2002 @Vrysen I think I only ever got one BOC. There again, I stopped going to woot when it stopped being a daily deal site and started being Amazon’s version of dollar general.

@AttyVette i have no clue jow i successfully grabbed a BOC on woot yesterday. During check out I had tonlogin and then verify my amazon login by clicking a link sent to phone. After all of that, it still went through

@OnionSoup I stopped going to Woot the day they gave free shipping to prime members. I’m not a prime member so I have to pay shipping. When they expected to get $5 shipping for each item previously, the item was discounted accordingly. Now the prices are about the same you can find elsewhere but after adding that shipping makes it not economical to purchase.

I still get woot shirts though because free shipping. Once they charge for shipping on shirts, that’s when I’m going to stop buying them.

@Fodder650 these 2 min rotations are really going to put a damper on my binge watching of the 4th season of Handmaid’s Tale that just dropped too!

@cbilyak Haven’t I gotten in enough trouble already with the powers-that-be at Meh. But then again there may be some interest there-was trying to find out if the number of likes I got on my April 1st reveal was anywhere near the record if such information was kept and was told by my sources that the record for likes was probably held by some person who posted about fingering his dog. So you are probably on the right track about things that interest this group.

@Kidsandliz Funny enough, the first IRK was 100 quantity and I was writing my comment here while it started.

@Kidsandliz yes I got one a while back but it truly wasn’t worth $5 imo. Hope you are doing well / haven’t talked in awhile.

@AttyVette I have had several that way (eg bag was the only thing, the rest broken, used trash and/or odd replacement bits to things I didn’t own). And a few that are worth far more even if, for example, the size of something didn’t fit me or family.

Well thanks OnionSoup, THAT’S one heck of a grand gesture, (or ask of one) I certainly DO feel extra special! Even though I wasn’t quick enough to score a IRK, yesterday’s Mehrathon was exactly what I needed! It was a super great distraction from the medical mess i’ve found myself in. So far i’ve got 4 blood clots in my legs, not even sure how that compares to the PE/pulmonary embolism I had years ago as i’m STILL waiting for a Dr to come in to explain. All I know is that this IS some scary stuff!

@Star2236 unless it’s my imagination, the last few mehrathons have had fewer IRKs. You have to wait longer between offerings. They’ve also been better IRKs (again maybe imagining it)

The Zagg event had listings of 50, this event is back to listings of 100.

@id10t @Star2236 there are very few IRK offerings today so total numbers for both are low.

I must say though,if I have to pick between 4 Irk offerings of 100 each and 8 irk offerings of 50 each… I’d go for the 100 each… Even though it’s the same total number of irks… by making it less about speed it is rewarding those who hang around looking for one.

@arbdef oh, I find them fun still. I have got a laugh out of most of mine. The only thing disappointing is that they don’t do anything really silly very often… Like sending someone a giant gumball machines or pallets of something random. What they did for @felton with the balls was fun though and reminds me of the old days…

@arbdef #truth I will admit I got the last one in October last year and it was more disappointing than usual. I believe I received Four items and literally it wasn’t worth $5 imo.

@arbdef @AttyVette I’ve had to throw a box away before that was leaking poo pouri (and was otherwise empty besides the bag)… It was literally trash.

That said, the majority of mine have been well worth the money. And it’s really the anticipation that is the funniest part of it.

So yeah, some irks literally stink… Others are good. I think they even out worthwhile though.

@arbdef I think part of the problem is that with so few sold at once it is pretty much a given that if you have high latency so it takes more than a second to load (here my latency is often 170-180 and typically the page takes 6-8 seconds to load so already sold out) and with crosswalks, etc. It becomes almost impossible. At least with 500 a shot they were open long enough that even those with issues like still had a chance. Now we really don’t unless meh has a glitch. That is discouraging and greatly decreases my motivation to be involved.

@Kidsandliz @smilingjack I have a friend who has the most subtle tattoos I’ve ever seen - two dots, about 1 mm wide, one on each hip. They were focus points for radiation therapy! I tease him about his “tats.”
