@FreePasta @katbyter sometimes all you have to do is check the box. Sometimes you have to find the bicycle photos. Sometimes you have to look at x-rays and determine which patients need surgery. Captcha come in various difficulties.

@Felton10 @FreePasta well during the last MEH-a-thon. I got through the CAPTCHA. & it stuck @ the bar that you get when you have bought some. Then it states …Error, try again. I did, error, the SOLD OUT message comes up with minutes still left on the clock.

@Felton10 @FreePasta @mycya4me Yeah, it does that sometimes. Sometimes you just have to pray to the 2bit gods that it channels your request before everyone else’s.

Usually, if you get anything for the captcha other than “Click this box” you can kiss the Irk goodbye. I got a couple of “pick the traffic lights”, “pick the bicycles”, “Pick the correctly solved quadratic equations” last night and still managed to get the Irk, which surprised me.

@bfg9000 No limit on frequency, but they’re unpredictable. And each offer has an insanely limited number IRKs…which means that IRKs are perhaps limited to Mehrathons

@cinoclav I agree that is one awkward spelling, and if you try to pronounce it aloud as spelled, I am not sure a random listener would even implicitly get the meaning.
That being said, I think whomever named it, just lazily substituted for the “Meh” in “Meh-rathon”. You can debate on whether the r is necessary in “Meh-rathon”. Pro: it makes it sound indiscernible from marathon. Con: it violates the universal naming rule of thons. I think I would prefer Meh-athon

@cinoclav @DrWorm I think the R is just placed oddly. I think it would feel/sound better if it was before the hyphen. Cuisinar-athon seems easier to read/say/pronounce than cuisina-rathon. but it’s just placement of the emphasis

@nonlion although, honestly everyone, let’s look at it this way: if you used the Mehrathon code, congrats! You saved $1! If you used the VMP code: congrats! You saved $0.50! And if you forgot to use a code: congrats! You got an IRK! Who knows what treasures await

@blaineg the good news is, if my timing is correct, there will be 15 minutes left once this current item is over. That means there could either be one more cuisinart item for the last 15 minutes, orrrrr it could indicate one more chance at an IRK since all the IRKs have lasted 15 minutes today. Just food for thought…
