is there a good place to sell used Woot Shirts?
2cleaning up/out around the house, I’s sitting of a stash of about 90 Woot Shirts, all men’s 3x, some obviously have shrunken, and i’ve expanded… mostly wearing 4x now…
at the moment I’m washing them all, then Rolling, and going to seal up in large space bags, as I’m Not really ready to part with them, (I could loose weight…) but don’t need them hanging taking up space.
If I Do decide to sell some(heck there are a few I don’t think i’ve ever even worn…, is there a good place to sell them/sell them to?
for some reason I don’t wanna just give 'em to goodwill…

Besides eBay? Not really. Back when shirt.woot was selling thousands every day and had more randoms, there was TeeTrade, but that was years ago.
@narfcake I really don’t want to take the time to photograph, list, sell and ship each one separately, (90+ shirts) and as a Lot…how would you even begin to price it?
@earlyre That’s going to be a tough one. Most folks will want to know what they’re buying.
AFAIK, there’s only one Wooter who has bulk-bought collections – and why it was noted as unverified in this old blog:
https://shirt.woot.com/blog/post/boss-shirts-boss-the-final-entry
There’s a lot of Starwars, Lots of Doctor Who, General nerdery.
also the longer I sit here doing THIS, the longer I can put off doing the actual cleaning I’m supposed to be doing…
Stall Tactics! yeah!
@earlyre
It’s bigger on the inside!
@sillyheathen are you offering me storage space?
@sillyheathen Clara was the only person to say, “It’s smaller on the outside.”
@earlyre maybe I’m the fourteenth doctor?
@earlyre @sillyheathen
That’s a great box! Everyone needs a box that’s way bigger on the inside!
If I saw them at my local Goodwill I’d probably scoop some up
Yeah I would probably snag them all too. 3x is going to be big on me (unless I keep gaining weight lol) but they did have a tendency to shrink some so all my XLs from back in the woot days have passed on to other people.
Not sure where you are located, but if you’re not too far from the State of Regret, you might find some luck there.
if anyone is interested… and within a reasonable distance of Lima, Oh. it wouldn’t hurt to hit me up if there’s anything specific you’re looking for…
If I wasn’t already stalling completing another project that NEEDS to be done by tomorrow night, I might scour the webs for pics of the prints, I JUST finished washing Rolling and packing into space bags all 90ish shirts… what’s there is pretty fresh in my mind.
I didn’t vacuum them down yet, b/c it was already past midnight. That will happen Tomorrow.
@earlyre general descriptors of the bag organization…
Top Bag - Star Wars, Firefly/Dr Horrible, and WOOT! specific Prints (Bandolier of Carrots, annual WOOT Athletic Dept Shirts, Vitruvian Woot Monkey)
2nd From Top - “Time Travel” (Doctor Who, Back to the Future, Etc)
Bottom 2 bags - “general nerdery” Doesn’t fall under one of the above categories.
@earlyre Lima Peru is a bit too far for most of us meh customers.
@cengland0 @earlyre
And Lima, Ohio causes allergy problems in anyone who ever owned or had to try to salvage a relative’s foolish purchase of a Vega.
I always go with the donation/write-off path. Figure $10/shirt, so you can cite a $900 charitable tax deduction.
@ACraigL I don’t make enough that itemization ends up being better than the standard deduction…
yay poor life choices!
(like having spent several thousands of Dollars on Shirts and Movies you just put on a rack and look at… a lot of times I’ll just stream tv/movies I own on DVD/Blu-Ray, because getting up and going and getting them off the shelf is too much like work…)
Do you have local yard sale sites on Facebook? Bundle 5 or 10 shirts of the same theme, i.e. Star Wars, and sell as a lot. Set up a meeting place for a two hour period to deliver them all at once or have porch pick up where they come to you.
@dyounghbic there probably are…but I’m that one middle aged weirdo that never hopped on the “social Media” bandwagon.
No Facebook
No Twitter
No Snap
No Insta
No mySpace
Not even Friendster.
and I’ve only ever uploaded 1 video to YouTube…
@earlyre Nah, you’re not the only one.
@earlyre @narfcake Right!
@earlyre @Kyeh @narfcake
same here… in fact, weirdly the same due to the (only) one upload on the u-tube. Guess I need to start checking if I may have multiple personalities (or at least several meh account names…)
Try Craigslist?
@Sneakertree or the Woot Forums!
