Is it Spring yet?

Spring Flowers
This is our flower bed in front of the house. This must be a sign of something. Is this happening anywhere else?

The daffodils and cannas don’t seem to realize it is the Winter Solstice, and are quite confused. Boy, are they in for a surprise! How far do you think they will get before they are “nipped in the bud?”
