@tinamarie1974 For some reason, It was much more difficult today. After I failed to get one during the member’s hour when they had almost 100 during one offering, I almost (said almost) gave up.
But I figured if I didn’t keep trying I would never forgive myself so I decided to either get one or die trying.
@Felton10@tinamarie1974 It was hard today, especially last night in the beginning. Everyone was complaining that the Irk pages just wouldn’t load – well, all the pages really. And the Meh faces would spin and spin, so something was glitchy.
Can we go back to having larger batches less often? So that IRK accessibility is based on happening to be following at the right time, instead of whether your wifi speed is fast enough to load the page change before all 35 IRKs are sold out?
I was online for all but, I think, 3 of these IRKs.
All were sold out by the time the page finished loading for me.
VMP no longer means a damn thing. Monitoring the site doesn’t mean a damn thing. It’s all about wifi speed. And that’s a pretty shameful basis for discrimination.
@brainmist
I WAS thinking the same exact thing, today my Wi-Fi was down for a while and when it was up it was slower than slow! I finally got one just when I thought it was over, the last one of the night! Final thoughts… No one has it out for me, it’s the luck of the Meh Gods!
@Lynnerizer Yeah, I don’t think it’s deliberate, but this experiment in trying to make IRKs more accessible? Seems to be making them less.
Pre fiber, I only ever caught IRKs through contests. Post fiber, I had a brief chance, but that has disappeared.
What would be fairest? I don’t know. Maybe a VMP, member, and general category…but also something that wasn’t based on internet speed, which is so very regional.
Maybe let everyone who spots an IRK within 5 minutes be entered into a drawing. You hit that “buy” button in 5 minutes, and you enter the pool. That would at least reduce the bias for people with endless free time, and high speed wifi.
@brainmist
I wasn’t aware that they were experimenting with the number of IRK’s, not officially anyway. I was thinking it would be great if we could get a IRK at specific times throughout the year, like on your birthday for active members who participate in the comments. Or maybe for those who click Meh on the clicky face so many days in a row. I have often wondered (usually after I’ve messed up my consecutive days of clicking ) what am I doing this for? Like don’t I have enough pressure on me as it is, sometimes life is already hard enough! This should have reward! Do you hear me Meh, are you listening? As my guy often tells me, “get the cock out of your ear” ! What’s up with that, I said COCK not corn!! Well that’s a little better. Lol
@brainmist@Lynnerizer I think they are listening to some extent. With only 28 IRKs per offering they are impossible to get. They moved the IRKs on the last mehrathon up into the mid 30’s. 100 is too many-50 is just about the right number.
@brainmist@Lynnerizer I think they are doing them multiple times in small numbers (since multiple times in big numbers would likely cost them too much money) to keep us on the website to see the deals and hopefully impulse buy something. Yes we can go back to see what was sold but the removes much of the impulse buying since we surely wouldn’t buy many of these things if we stopped to actually critically think about it…
@brainmist@Lynnerizer I would agree that being able to go back is nice. I was more referring to the impulse buying that goes on despite the ability to go back to buy later.
Received mine today! Adding up the stuff its all worth more than $5! Got a nice knit hat, cup, wrapsody pull over cover up, ceramic ot herb planter and green pull stretch playdough. Its fun!

@Kyeh @tinamarie1974

@Kyeh @Lynnerizer yippee!!!

@Felton10 I was super busy working today so I couldn’t try before 7 this evening. I really didn’t think I was going to get one.
Did you score a box?
@Felton10 @tinamarie1974
Just curious, what was the box?
@Felton10 @tinamarie1974 It was hard today, especially last night in the beginning. Everyone was complaining that the Irk pages just wouldn’t load – well, all the pages really. And the Meh faces would spin and spin, so something was glitchy.
@tinamarie1974 Yes-on the 4th from the last one. Didn’t cut it as close as you though.
@Kyeh @tinamarie1974 Yes-it got better and easier as the day went on, but still was more difficult than usual.
@SylvreKat @tinamarie1974 She was talking about getting an IRK aka the “box”.

@brainmist I live in Texas and have 1 gig speed. I couldn’t get in either.

@brainmist @Kidsandliz
I was very happy when they changed it up and let us go back to buy past offerings after they’d first showed them.
@brainmist @Felton10
AHHH YES, don’t you know, SOMEONE IS ALWAYS LISTENING!!

@Kyeh
Thanks!! I know he’s going to thrilled about being the one to open it up and have the first peek, so at least there’s that! LoL
@Lynnerizer Yeah, let’s really hope it’s not all make-up and weird-sized bras!
Received mine today! Adding up the stuff its all worth more than $5! Got a nice knit hat, cup, wrapsody pull over cover up, ceramic ot herb planter and green pull stretch playdough. Its fun!
