Insomniacs can now blame their parents and not meh
6Considering how many people post in the middle of the night, one might think these forums are addictive. Wrong.
The good news is that meh is still meh and there needs to be no black box warning that the forums are addictive and thus dangerous to your health (to your wallet maybe, but not to your health). Instead you can likely blame your parents (so it is the goat’s fault you didn’t choose different parents!). There are 7 genes now linked with insomnia.
Of course correlation is not causation, but ignoring that now you can blame your parents when someone yells at you for waking them up at 3am when you are rattling around the house unable to sleep. And the goat can escape blame when at 3am you post blaming the goat.

At least we can confirm that every woman in my family has insomnia for a reason.
/giphy at least I have that going for me
YES!
That article refers to insomnia as a “debilitating condition.” Only if you fail to structure your lifestyle around your ability.
I don’t have trouble sleeping, but I do have the ability to stay up all night. I don’t mind staying up until sunrise, I just don’t want to get up to see the sun rise.
Of course, now I can blame somebody else. Ain’t it great?
I was a third shift worker for a long time but even when I switched to second shift (1400-2200 with a crap ton of overtime) I still had a hard time getting to sleep. Now I’m up through the night and sleep through the day and no form of conditioning can change that. I have gone to a sleep study but failed because I couldn’t fall asleep during the study and I even went to a course to try to change my lifestyle (only lying in bed to sleep and getting up and moving to a quiet place then trying to go back to sleep, etc.) and I failed that as well. So, thanks to your article at least I can try to stop feeling like a failure. But I’ll probably fail that too.
I can remember waking up at night as a child to find my dad on the sofa reading. He had the same problem I do, I wake up and then I’m up for a couple of hours. I’m glad I found meh, it gives me something to waste a short period of time on.
