@brainmist@Kidsandliz Well, I meant the opportunity to get tattooed, not automatically get Irks. It started in 2014, so theoretically that’s potentially 105 more tattoos? But one goat was Mbot, and several ex-goats already have tattoos. Of course most people still wouldn’t get inked, but maybe the ones who did would have to get little dead goats! Hah!

Did someone tell you life was fair? If they did they lied.
Under the old system you couldn’t get an irk if you had slow reflexes, poor vision, many physical disabilities, lived in an area without fast internet, didn’t have a new computer, had a job where you didn’t sit on your ass in front of a screen all day, and a laundry list of other issues.
Under the new system anyone with $50 can buy an irk along with a bunch of other stuff. And if you don’t have fifty dollars, well, life isn’t fair.
@brainmist I’m saying that there are a lot of the 90K plus people, who were looking at IRKs, that have some kind of medical disorder. They are not whining and complaining about not getting a tattoo.

I understand a lot of people have medical disorders but only a small percentage of them have disorders that (include but and not limit stuff like tattoos) that could cause serious risk to their health including death. I get that you don’t have one so it’s hard for you to fathom the complications/seriousness of it but yes you and others don’t have to give the “life isn’t fair” speech” bc believe me, we FUCKING know that the hard way. We’ve learned it, sitting in hospital beds while people like you are running through sprinklers enjoying your merry fucking way. All you are doing is insulting us. Not that I have to justify myself to any of you people bc I’m grown ass women but I’ve worked really hard to get where I’m am today. I’ve dealt with more shit than most people can dream of, handle, experience or contemplate in a lifetime. Sitting in the hospital for weeks/months on end is not fun only to have someone tell you it doesn’t mean shit. Being hooked up to so many machines you don’t even know what is what, blacking out your whole hospital stay or loosing time bc you’re so hoped up on pain meds bc of pain. Don’t preach to something you know nothing about. Some things I’m very passionate about, medical/health things is one of them.

Half the fun of Meh for me is the whimsy, where sometimes whining that your pasta dropped ends up with a mysterious delivery that gets delayed multiple times and then pulls a knife on you. (Look, that really happened and I posted the photo evidence.) That was whining; dropped pasta was in no way a major issue in my life.
If someone wants to engage the whimsy, but physically can’t for medical reasons? I am all for putting in place a different, but navigable, barrier. Have them make a funny hat. Or draw on themselves. Or any of the cute games that earned me most of my IRKs, because I too had slow internet.
The goal is engagement. It’s not the tattoo, it’s the commitment to the bit and the communication of that in the fora. Why not offer alternatives?
I’ve been so absent lately. My kiddo was diagnosed with a complex medical issue and I quit my job because I was offered a new one and will be working from home soon. Luckily, today Is the 1st day of Spring break for my kids and I also have the week off. I’ve been spending my whole day running errands and just now checked Meh. Good thing I didn’t miss it!
