Inflatable of the Day 4/10
11Today’s toy is a little different. I want you all to meet Halo Husky! This good-looking gal was made by G&G Inflatables, the same people behind Fenris, Nate, and Balto. She was made a few months after Fenris was, in late 2010, and was available via preorder, which is when I ordered mine. Halo is, as some of you might have guessed, someone’s fursona - in this case Halo Phoenix is her name. (Some of you may also recall that I’m in the process of having my own fursona, Mac, made into an inflatable toy, though this process has stalled a bit, due to COVID-19.) Halo here has a total of four air chambers: her body, head, tail, and ponytail. She is highly detailed, though for those of you hoping she has nips under her shirt, you’ll be disappointed But, she does make an excellent snuggle partner! Halo unfortunately has fallen into the same category as Nate the fox; her seams are constantly springing new leaks, and chasing them down can be a chore. She’s worth it, though!

Fursona
Hmmm.
This world can still make me blink and take notice.
@f00l Not so strangely, I didn’t blink at all reading it, as I’ve known Furries for
yearsdecades already.@f00l @narfcake We’re pretty great, right?
Well, I’m learning something every day!
OK, technical question - how do you repair vinyl seams? I’d always read that seams werent repairable, but that’s obviously something you’ve figured out. Very cool.
@mehcuda67 For a long time when I was younger, I believed the same. However, you eventually learn that while not impossible, seam repair is beyond what most casual buyers consider practical, but for us collectors it has become second nature. Most of the time, you just use a strip of clear scrap vinyl to mend the split, held on with vinyl repair glue. It’s not always the prettiest repair, but it’s very strong when done right.
Wow! She’s a cutie, fur sure!
Oooh, maybe you should get a furry inflatable, like the CU buff mascot! Snuggling with that would be really cozy!
@Kyeh She really is a looker!
@Kyeh I don’t think Buff would fit in my bed, let alone my house! LOL
@PooltoyWolf Hah, no - but a furry version one of these, I mean. Although I suppose you can put furry clothes on her.
@Kyeh I’ve been meaning to get her a bathing suit!
