@phendrick Florida Power and Light has this awesome budget billing option that helps keep your bill about the same all year long. I wonder if other companies have it?
@phendrick@RiotDemon I’ve had levelized payment plans in multiple states where I have lived. The only drawback of them is when they adjust it once a year, if they weren’t spot on, you may be hit with either an overpayment bill or (if you are lucky or if you over paid) they just put that into the next year’s calculations.
@Kidsandliz@RiotDemon@callow
Yeah, I could get that, but that doesn’t reduce the size of the CHARGES I will have to pay, whenever.
I can (and do) pay them when they come up, but even if I “leveled” them when they are charged, the size of the bill still hits me in those summer months. And induces me to raise the thermostat setting to higher than I like.
So, you can have summer; I’ll take one of the other three seasons. Easier to dress to off set those.
@callow@phendrick@RiotDemon And it is easier to put on a jacket to stay warm than what you can or can’t do to stay cool. I am definitely not a fan zillion degrees with zillion percent humidity.
@edwardsm6 It’s those two weeks when a few deciduous trees lose about 1/4 of their leaves, right before your neighbors in the great white north state of Georgia start to complain of frost.
Sleeping is one of the things I do well any season (with AC when it’s hot of course). Waking up is more difficult in fall and winter. My body knows if it’s dark, it’s still sleep time.
better, as it’s cooler and the humidity has subsided. however, i wake up a bit dry in the sinuses which is kind of unpleasant, but i’ll take it over the heat and humidity. also, the neighbor across the street has put bright as fuck lights on the front of his house (which is already stupid bc we live in a city, it doesn’t get that dark) that stay on ALL NIGHT and shine directly into my face through my bedroom window which has…not been great. but they never go outside (another reason the lights are stupid) so i think they have finally died and likely won’t be repaired, which is good.
I am a hot sleeper and can rarely sleep well in summers unless we’re going broke by cranking that AC. Cool winters means I might even be able to use a light blanket instead of the usual nothing. yay!
All my allergies come out in the fall. Plus it feels like more bugs are coming inside now that it’s cooling down.
Gross.
Definitely sleep better than when my A/C has trouble keeping up with August days of 100+ degrees which hasn’t been caught up with by late evenings.
Also sleep better when I don’t have to worry about getting the electric bills like in the summer.

@phendrick @RiotDemon PECO (Philadelphia Electric Company) has budget billing. It’s good to be able to plan ahead.

Thanks, anyway.

Cooler nights make for better sleep
Whazatt??Zzzzzz.
Fall and Spring are about the same. Summer heat makes sleep uncomfortable. Winter, under a cozy blanket, puts me out.
I sort of Fall asleep.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A bit better because it’s not as hot at night!
Live in Florida… what’s this fall you talk about?

Yes, I sleep year round

I try to sleep in a fall, but hitting the ground always wakes me up.
It gets dark earlier, and it’s cooler. So I sleep a little bit better than in the Summer.

I don’t wake up drenched in sweat.
