@mick Ok, I just google it, and it has everything to do with a hero named Link! I had no idea anything like this existed. I played Zelda from whatever year it first came out and then my granddaughter (when she got old enough) and I played all the Zelda games together. On nintendo, game cube, Wii. I can't remember if there was one for nintendo 64? Anyways, it does sound awesome.
@mick If you played it on the Gamecube, I'd think you were a big fan because there were only two ways to get it there: buy a limited edition Zelda Gamecube console (which came with a Zelda compilation), or buy a used copy of the Zelda compilation.
I have the best job. Ever. I'm a music librarian, and a couple weeks ago I cataloged a piano score for the Symphony of the Goddesses. As a part of my job, I had to do some research on the composers. So, I got to spend the afternoon researching my favorite Japanese Nintendo composers whose music I grew up loving.
The Legend of Zelda series consists of 17 official games on all of Nintendo's major consoles, as well as a number of spin-offs. An American animated series based on the games aired in 1989, and individual manga adaptations officially endorsed and commissioned by Nintendo have been produced in Japan since 1997. As of 2011, the series has sold over 67 million copies.
@ceagee 17 games means a lot of music, and on top of that, music is a key gameplay element in several… Lovely music on a console made spectacular by a symphony orchestra.
@ceagee Zelda is Robin Williams Daughter. She is an actress. She's named after Zelda in the legend of zelda... I'm guessing the concert isn't done my Miss Williams...
@sohmageek Normally I wouldn't be, but after this day, I'm making an exception. My foolishness needs to be medicated tonight. Still haven't stabbed myself with my felting needles though, so bonus!
I saw the concert last year, and it was fabulous- the videos were great, and the music was fantastic! (Oddly, the merchandise was so crappy I couldn't even bring myself to have someone buy me any of it).
Is it Legendary?
There was a Zelda concert in Philly? I would have actually set foot in Philly again for that. xD
I know.
It was awesome.
I'm goin guess. Zelda concert has nothing to do with a hero named Link?

@mick Ocarina of Time was 64
@mick @Cappo As was Majora's Mask. One of my absolute favorites.
@brhfl I must be wrong, but I only remember Majora's Mask on game cube not on 64?

How was the concert?
@luvche21 Yay.
@frostrocket not sure what you mean by yay...
I must be old. I have no idea who Zelda is. Do I want to know ?

@Cappo Thanks. That I have heard of. But concert ?

@sohmageek Geez, goat, are you the one who's been drinking my cocktails up today? It can't have been me, I doubt know where they've gone.
@jaremelz Nah... I'm just punchy today ;) I even put my instead of by... Maybe I have been drinking... Well I have... but not that much!

The closest it'll be to me is Portland, at the end of October. I sense a short trip in my future.
Damn, I knew this was coming to Strathmore, but apparently it was this past week. Hohum.
I missed it in July

I'm hoping to finally see it in December. I have always been out of town when it played near me, but maybe this year is the year...
