My kids to so much weird and crazy stuff every day, and now that I’ve been able to stay home with them full time the past few months I have stories that could stretch for hours. I doubt anyone would want to listen though about how I thought my 3 yr old was saying f#(k it all day when it turns out he was actually saying “Focus”
@show_the_maw you should write stuff down. Just keep a log in your notes app or something. You think you will remember all the cute and funny or embarrassing things they say and do, but you won’t. Write them down when they happen. You’ll thank yourself later.
@show_the_maw
That’s actually how the show modern family was created. The writers were writing another show and then started sharing funny story’s about their family and decided to write the show about that stuff.
@simplersimon Ok Simon let’s see. How about we make a self-closing cap that wouldn’t get left open nor glue itself shut and rub your hands raw trying to get it open, just to find out all the glue inside is dried up? I’d start there.
@katbyter feels like that would be more expensive. Parents buying school supplies generally look to save money. Why do you think RoseArt is still in business when Crayola is superior in every way but price?
I don’t start a podcast. I don’t finish a podcast. I don’t indulge in the middle of a podcast.
In summary: I don’t give any bit - not even the teeniest tiniest bit - of even a part – a small part – the most minuscule part imaginable - of a fuck about podcasts.
I don’t know if it’d be a podcast, a blog, or a video series, but I’ve considered doing a “Julie and Julia” thing with the Old Mr. Boston Bartender’s Guide. Dunno if I could afford it, though - liver transplants are expensive.
i’d love to do one w/ my elder son on philosophy/politics. i’d love to do one w/ my younger son on video games and music. i’d love to do one by myself on art, crafts, and cooking.
@Tin_Foil My reply above does not appear in my profile. This is a serious matter. My meh profile history will likely be the only record of my existence.

@IndifferentDude Flashbacks of so much 80’s hairspray.

@show_the_maw my mom would probably listen to that. She loves that crap. Personally, I gotta know the kid before I’ll care.

Ok, hear me out: Sherlock Holmes… IN SPACE!
@simplersimon Who gave me a star?! This is a terrible idea, and you’ve almost convinced to make “A Study in Supernova” a real thing
@simplersimon
Sherlock Holmes done properly goes well in any circumstances
How dumb most podcasts are.
Homeschooling
How the world and all the people and products in it would be so much better if everyone would just listen to me.
@katbyter ok, I’ll bite. Let’s start with school glue. How would that be better if we listened to you?
@simplersimon Ok Simon let’s see. How about we make a self-closing cap that wouldn’t get left open nor glue itself shut and rub your hands raw trying to get it open, just to find out all the glue inside is dried up? I’d start there.
@katbyter @simplersimon Peeling the dried glue off the cap is the best part! Why would you take that from us?
Also, a self-closing cap would probably be really annoying to use, just like any modern gas can.
@katbyter feels like that would be more expensive. Parents buying school supplies generally look to save money. Why do you think RoseArt is still in business when Crayola is superior in every way but price?

Since I already am in a podcast…a podcast where me and my friends record our tabletop RPG games.
e) all of the above. And animals and booze.
Day-to-day bullshit, rip on some shit, praise some shit.
@edguyver14 … hitting the fans
@hchavers good one!
Nothing!
Music.
Technology.
Cats, cars, qubits. Would be boring, except maybe some of the car stories.

That answer choice.
Toys, toys and toys!

@dannybeans A guy named Erik Ellestad did that with the The Savoy Cocktail Book but it was a blog, not a podcast. He doesn’t drink any more.
Web sites that sell crap
@somf69 I see what you did there…;)
I hate podcasts
There. I said it
Just a daily about what’s going on in my life. Either you’ll hate or love me.
Death, witchcraft, and spooky things!
Books, boating, and baking. and boogers. Just kidding, and pets.
Prepping for a specific niche ethnic community.
i’d love to do one w/ my elder son on philosophy/politics. i’d love to do one w/ my younger son on video games and music. i’d love to do one by myself on art, crafts, and cooking.
Bristol stool scale podcast
@alphakat yes! I’d listen to that one
Retrogaming podcast that’s about 50% wacky category and 50% computer/console you’ve never heard of.
Oh wait, I already did that…
@Tin_Foil I bookmarked that. I sold TRS-80 Model I’s back in the day and had a fleet of Atari 8-bit comps.

Cute inflatable animals, obviously!
About why I don’t listen to podcasts?
I guess video games. Although I do like urban legends and ghost stories…
