@ELUNO Yes, the in-laws should love 10000 of those in the basement!
@ELUNO do you have one of those chairs. I was thinking of getting one for a gift. How do you deflate them.
@mellaine I don’t, but watching this video should show you how it works.
@ELUNO I have two of these. They’re cool TV loungers for an hour or two. After a full movie you will probably have leaked down close to the floor.
@djslack @ELUNO I have a few of these, and ahave given a few as gifts. Some of them hold air better than others. If yours is leaking after a couple of hours you should email the seller and ask for a replacement. They’ve been good about that.

Walmart $30-35; might need to overstuff them
Extra beans can be ordered from Amazon for ~$15
@compunaut they both look way too happy to be in bean bag chairs
have you tried these?
is @f001 a robot liking every single post?

Not every single post. Different algorithm.
…
Am I a robot?
"A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
"A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
“A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.”
Asimov got the three Laws Of Robotics right - from his perspective. Perhaps from a perspective common to most Homo Sapiens.
I wonder if there were any sentients Asimov failed to consult. Hmmmm.

“Well, that’s just his fucking opinion, man.”
@compunaut Beanbag chairs are really comfortable.

Are kids involved?
@Yoda_Daenerys We have (2) of the Big Joe bean chair (not Milano style). They are very comfortable (perhaps biased; grew up w/ classic style bean bags), but sit much lower than shown in the pic unless you add more beans. Pets love them too, and the nylon cover/shell wipes clean easily (and fur doesn’t stick like to other fabric)
@compunaut I have a Big Joe and it is awesome. 2 thumbs up!!
@compunaut Having never heard of a Big Joe bean bag chair, I thought the guy in the picture was “Big Joe Milano” and I was thinking, “I am not calling that that skinny looking runt ‘Big Joe’”.
Seriously though, those chairs do look pretty good for the price.
@compunaut This is an awesome chair for meh to sell for $10.
new conspiracy theory:
in birmingham they love the govna (i live in birmingham, LOL)
ELUNO and @Foo1 @f00l @f0OL @f001 @fOO1 @fOOl are all one in essence?

Well that is a relief. From the question I thought you were thinking your TV deserved to be in a chair.
@RedOak

Ipads get them, why not TVs?
Just go to the nearest ikea, they will have options.
@MrGlass @Yoda_Daenerys maybe

Not too much more than bean bags…
Arrays of QuakerOats boxes ducktapeded together.
Use ‘The Force’.

You could get those fold up camping chairs with the cup holders… the comfort level will keep you motivated on getting the house finished.
The house we just bought had these giant six foot round bean bag chairs in the upstairs room when we viewed the house. They were super comfortable and they didn’t sink way down like the beanbags of my childhood. There were also big square beanbag pillows (ottomans? ottomen? just pillows?) piled up with them. I looked online for them but most of the ones I found were very expensive, although I think overstock.com had some that weren’t too bad.
@vanslaterco stylish and economical
Put a pillow on a bucket:

And it had a handle to help when you need to relocate the furniture.
And wire spools make great tables, I had one in the '70s. I burned it with a torch for effect & the holes were actually useful to hold different… uhhh… smoking devices…

A coat or two of poly helps too…
Don’t forget the lowly milk crate!

Stack two for a higher chair!!
Cinder Blocks! So useful & fashionable!!

It’s what I also used in the '70s, I may have spent over half my paycheck on expensive stereo equipment & records, but it was cinder blocks that held everything off of the floor!
@daveinwarsh
Cinder blocks rock. The Home Depot guys thought I was so weird, wanting more since my home improvement skills clearly peaked at duct tape.
When I had a rural place way back when, I talked somebody outta two of the big wire spools. Intended to use them as outdoor tables. I was such an “innocent outdoors”. The spools were very popular among my wasp neighbors.
@daveinwarsh We used a giant wire spool as an outdoor/picnic table on the deck of our house back in the 70s. Installed casters on the bottom so we could move it around.
as low as $30 on Amazon
