@RiotDemon actually pipe in slightly soft ice cream and then freeze for my favorite ones.
But even whipped cream or mix of lemon curd ad whipped cream will freeze well. Single layer till frozen them bulk ziplocs.
@RiotDemon I make them. I make a vanilla pudding to fill and a homemade chocolate sauce to drizzle on top or pour on more like. They are so good!
Now I want them. But I made brownies today, have to wait. Wish you had done this yesterday before I made the brownies.
@RiotDemon Thanks! And interestingly, the email that Meh sent me about this reply had the photo properly rotated to be upright… Maybe some Google magic or something? Whatever it was it’s pretty cool.
@Al_Coholic interesting. I took the photo while using the uploader. I turned the phone during the picture part and then rotated back to finish the post. Phone ended up getting stuck in widescreen mode until I turned off the auto rotate. It was really weird.
@moondrake The real thing is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better, and that’s saying a lot since I really like the freezer version too. They’re also generally bigger, so that helps. Not too difficult to make. Once you find a good recipe for the choux, you have so many options for cream filling (which you don’t even have to pip in, we normally just cut them in half and put a scoop of cream/pudding stuff).
@2many2no Her solo piano works are my favorites. So much skill. And super entertaining to watch perform (although I’ve never seen her live, just missed her show on one of my recent Japan trips though!). Her band is really good, but their music is a little too out there for my general tastes.
They freeze wonderfully
Congrats
@CaptAmehrican did not know that, thank you.

@CaptAmehrican ice cream? Yum.

@CaptAmehrican @RiotDemon Now y’all went and made me hungry.
Are they good? Did you follow a specific recipe online?
@Al_Coholic I read a website that had tips and tricks online, but I ended up using my good ol’ Betty Crocker cookbook.
They are plain on their own, yummy with filling.
@Al_Coholic I made smaller ones, reduced the heat to 375° and about 30 minutes.
Sorry about the sideways photo. New phone.

I am a slave to the freezer version of these things, I can only imagine how addictive the real thing would be.
@moondrake I purposely didn’t fill them all because I was afraid of eating too many and getting sick.

If I wasn’t already married I’d chase you solely for your burgeoning pastry skills.
Wow, they look fantastic! Nice way to channel your boredom
One of my favorite songs ever is named after these!!
Also, cream puffs (super famous in Japan) are one of my wife’s favorite foods!
@luvche21 Hiromi is awesome even when she’s not playing cream puffs.

I was bored a couple days ago and made pierogies. After all that hard work, friends and family descended upon my house and ate them all.
