@cfg83 They must be cheese sellers; they look so happy about the price going up.
In my (unwanted) experience, I’ve found that what mice really like is chocolate!
The alien mind control rays that amusingly fail to direct my every move. Their waiting-on-hold music at least has the advantage of not repeating as far as I can tell. (But can anybody tell me what a zabropf is, or why I should felninsh it? Some of their stuff seems like it’s intended for some other planet.)
@werehatrack It looks like you are picking up a signal meant for someone in Zabród, which likely means the one intended for you is going to a very confused person in Mali. We’ve been telling the alien techs for decades that they need to update, but they keep whining about cost overruns and layoffs. It really is better to wear a Faraday cage hat, even if they look kinda dorky.
I prefer earworms. They go with me everywhere and don’t need recharging. My biggest complaint is that they get stuck on repeat, and I have to bang the side of my head to get the next song. That gets odd looks in public.
I panicked and voted for over the ear headphones since I constantly have issues with finding earbuds that fit well. Then again, I see the other option was speaker and not speakers so maybe it was for the best since a single speaker can sound like trash depending on the device (7 inch Kindles come to mind)
@fredmavis@Kidsandliz Costco hearing aids, direct to the inner ear. Works great for music and phone calls. I can now hear rattlesnakes and crickets again. But unfortunately, I can also now hear my wife when she tells me to take out the trash (not that my wife has anything in common with rattlesnakes).
@fredmavis@Kidsandliz@pskemp2@therealjrn
Pro tip… When you’re hearing gets bad enough in one ear that the Costco ones won’t do it anymore, go to a cross channel style. It pumps the sound from (in my case the right) one side into the other (good ear) with a millisecond delay. Your brain picks it up as coming from the affected side. That’s worked out well for me, especially as I can now more easily hear my wife while I’m driving, for instance.
@capnjb
God, I wish I still had all my albums.
I lost hundreds of them that were stocked out in my shop while I was remodeling the house. We had rain for days and it flooded. Ruined every jacket and stuck the liners to the actual records. I was heartbroken!
My ears.
@yakkoTDI
Your ears are a bit remote for the rest of us to listen thru them.
@f00l @yakkoTDI And I’m not sure that I necessarily want to listen to what your ears are hearing.
@yakkoTDI yes the Best way to listen to stuff.
My phone or computer speaker. Okay sound quality but the music is good so I don’t care.
Shokz.
Or whatever is around and comfortable and charged up.
Walls …
HA! Lazy reuse. ME NO HAVE TO THINK!

@Kyeh Wow, you’re right! I never thought of that. The listener must be a commodities trader looking for an angle.

@mediocrebot FAIL! 7 1/2 Mice <> 9 1/2 weeks segway joke because commodity trading. No star for you!
@cfg83 @mediocrebot So darn cute, though.
@Kyeh Can you make out this mouse scribbling? I want the inside track.
@cfg83 Sorry, I can’t speak or read mouse.
@Kyeh squeeeeeeek (pronounce it like a squeeking sigh).
@cfg83 So high-pitched I can hardly hear it, probably.
@cfg83 @Kyeh They also love peanut butter… If you mixed them together you’d have super bait! Apparently, they have good taste for gluttonous rodents.
The optical audio port at the base of my skull.
@haydesigner
Shokz for the win

@rockblossom
Shokz. I have a couple of them. One for work and the newer ones for running and whatever else I need them for

@rockblossom try singing “its a small world after all” and the previous earworm will immediately disappear

A stereophonic ear trumpet -

@macromeh I remember when the Mods wore those, but I’m not gonna try to showme that one.
I often listen to music using my Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids. Super-dupery convenient!
@fredmavis A kid’s friend has a hearing implant and she takes the one end and places it by whatever she is playing (phone, computer speaker…)

Good save at the end, there!
@fredmavis @pskemp2 So you are saying that your wife’s bite isn’t poisonous? She just rattles the saber but doesn’t use it?
@fredmavis @Kidsandliz Well, she doesn’t bite but she does wear diamonds
@fredmavis @Kidsandliz
Ice is nice, @pskemp2.

@chienfou @fredmavis @Kidsandliz @therealjrn interesting, same Costco Philips brand or another?
@Kidsandliz @pskemp2
“Costco hearing aids”
Yep! They’re really great, affordable and I highly recommend them to others!
@fredmavis @Kidsandliz @pskemp2 @therealjrn
No, unfortunately Costco does not carry those. Had to go to an audiologist.
BTW my last Costco ones were from Rexton…
I just listen to the voices in my head
@rancho
Pssst…they are lying to you…
@chienfou @rancho But they’re such good lies!

@mediocrebot Ooooh, that tickles!
Classic wired headphones, Just because I’m scared that if I get wireless headphones they will disconnect and everyone will hear my music.
@AlienCookie This is a very good answer.
High end turntable, 90’s hi-fi Sony receiver, Bose 301s. Loud.
