@jqubed that’s one of the best articles I’ve read all day. Now I wish I had started earning gold medals in my prime. It’ll take a lifetime of Curling to win one in the winter olympics
@MehnofLaMehncha that’s right I forgot both they and the aussies went for the soft green with yellow.
Most of the talking heads think it was a big mistake on Chad le Clos’ part, Phelps didn’t need the extra motivation and considering where he did it the consensus seems to be that he was trying to mess with Michael.
Remember when Lance said he was the most tested athlete in the world? VeloNews showed that he wasn’t even the most tested Armstrong. But he repeated it for 2-3 more years.
@Yoda_Daenerys
You want a peer review of the evidence. Okey-dokey.
I could be a peer. You see, my family has some weird claim on some low-level, shilling-a-dozen crap UK title of some sort. Only we would be the lowest of the low, if we tried to claim it, and it doesn’t come with a castle or anything cool, and we don’t even know what title it would be, or if we would be The Lords of Stinking Slimyworms, or whatever. And the title prob rotted away from inactivity, seeing as how we skedaddled so long ago, and didn’t keep our holiday card mailing list up to date to include the reigning monarchs and their potentially embarrassing family members. (All this is according to one “Esteemed Grandmother” who was way into family pride. By the way, she was always right. She assured of us of this from our earliest years, and has never wavered.)
Still, a peer. Right here in the forum. That’s not nothin’. So:
With that qualification, I will proceed to review the evidence that I heard Rowdy Gaines and Ryan Lochte both state that Michael Phelps would be competing in the Tokyo 2020 games because why quit when he’ll still be great, and he basically has all that talent and can’t really stand not to compete, and not to win. And furthermore, that those statements aired on NBC’s Olympic OTA broadcast somewhat earlier than your casual, non-rigorous, late-to-the-party post here at Meh.
Hmmm. Let me put my objectivity visor on. Hmmm.
You lose. I win.
Do not pass tenure, do not collect $200, go directly to the erroneous and fetid pile of rejected dissertation and publication topics.
The committee of “a peer” does not believe anyone attempted plagiarism of anything like that. But you know lawyers, they will want to review the intellectual property rights even if it’s just a casual remark in an internet forum. And NBC is checking whether you quoted without attribution, but I don’t think they’ll take everything you ever owned, as that kinda looks harsh.
All the best with your next thought put publicly into words. You’ll have to be a bit careful now that you’ve been flagged.
@f00l i think i might have gotten off at the wrong bus stop.
hang on, was i on a bus or eating asparagus?
as far as rights to the castle, i have been told by an elder in my family, with most of a full deck left, that there is one in the UK that shares my last name, but i have to believe i had the name first, because you know, first.
and yes, of course i do like boiled goose with my asparagus.
i will, however, endeavor to be more cautious in future posts.
No, he’ll break at 35. 35 is the year you get old. SWIMMING IS NOT FOOTBALL OR BASEBALL, THE EFFORT MUST BE SUSTAINED FOR TOO
Long a period of time. Spitz found that out.
I mean… your accomplishment is cool and all but… I’ll take the medals.
@jbartus there is a chance i would make the same choice, i guess i better up my game in the pool with this doggy paddle of mine
/giphy doggy paddle
@jbartus Why not both, get some kite string flatten the cans, put the string inside the tab. Wear around neck.
I have a feeling Phelps can match you on at least one of those.
@Moose hmmm, now i’m wondering in which event i would fare better against mr. P, Meh.be if there is an Olympic sport added for Microsoft OneNote?
Looks like Michael Phelps now has enough gold medals to get a new Huffy!
@jqubed that’s one of the best articles I’ve read all day. Now I wish I had started earning gold medals in my prime. It’ll take a lifetime of Curling to win one in the winter olympics
I have watched way more than 24 medals being won while in a near-prone coach potato setting.
@f00l !!!win, score, shoot
Having met Phelps a few times I can say you are a nicer person. Also hopefully you have fewer DUIs
Hahaha
@communist
Darth Phelps?
@communist wasn’t that when the Aussie was shadowboxing and stuff to try to throw Phelps off his game?
@jbartus
Yes. As I understand it, the Aussie was being a total jackass.
But that expression on Phelps’ face does the job with or without stimulus from a competitor’s douche move.
Surely Sith Powers are the only truly believable explanation for Phelps’s gold hoard. Perhaps Phelps is also in league with Smaug.
Come To The Dark Side. We have medals!
@jbartus South African
everyone does his own thing in the ready room. not really a big deal.
@MehnofLaMehncha that’s right I forgot both they and the aussies went for the soft green with yellow.

Wait, did I miss silicon ice ball molds on meh?
@givemeyoursoul Apparently; they were yesterday’s offering; $8
@jqubed Everytime I get a steak going, I somehow missed a day. And it’s something I would have bought. Damn.
@givemeyoursoul did you bring enough steak for everybody?
@jbartus
@givemeyoursoul
@jqubed
Well today they’re selling a fucking mop.
It’s s great mop, I give it that.
Everyone who wants to mop, please stand up and show yourself now!
@givemeyoursoul if you are really disappointed, i may have some extras…
@jbartus I didn’t. You know how much co2 I would be responsible for if I provided steak for all of you?
@Yoda_Daenerys drop me a line when you get them. I only need one or two.
@givemeyoursoul just buy carbon credits to offset it. I want the steak you promised us!
i’ve been proved wrong again - black people can swim
and oh yea, i tried to up my best time in the 22 oz chug
wait, did i hear Katie Ledecky is a fan?
@springsteen
That would be YES
I am getting such HIGH marks on my Couch Collapse dismount. I always stick the landing.

@f00l
So cool to see her win #3.
Remember when Lance said he was the most tested athlete in the world? VeloNews showed that he wasn’t even the most tested Armstrong. But he repeated it for 2-3 more years.
@MehnofLaMehncha
Armstrong is or was an awesome athlete. And an even bigger manipulative dickhead bully.
I wonder when his next yellow jersey Oprah interview is?
well I guess 23 is the new 24.
@cranky1950 when we’re talking gold medals, who’s counting?
@jbartus
@cranky1950 let it be known that i was the first to predict the return of michael, 2020 @ age 35
@Yoda_Daenerys
First predicting it in this venue, perhaps. But I think his mom, gf, and coach prob got dibs on that one.
/giphy Michael Phelps
@f00l well i’m going to need to see some peer reviewed research to accept i wasn’t the first
@Yoda_Daenerys
I heard Rowdy Gaines and Ryan Lochte both say it on the NBC broadcast before you posted.
Naaa Naaa Naaa Naaa

@f00l well i’m going to need to see some peer reviewed research to accept i wasn’t the first
@f00l Does that evil grin belong to @Kitty Sprinkles?
