I don’t loathe candy corn the way so many people seem to, but I think cookie dough ice cream is disgusting. I decided to try Ben & Jerry’s “Lights Caramel Action” but didn’t read the label closely enough. It has “Vanilla Ice Cream with Salted Caramel Swirls, Graham Cracker Swirls” … and then what I didn’t notice:
“Gobs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.” GROSS!
@lisagd@sammydog01@yeld dang it, now I have to go get one, too! I better not be disappointed. I loved those things as a kid. The one I would buy when I had a free 25c… That and a balsa wood glider
@lisagd@ybmuG@yeld It was $1.49 instead of a quarter but it was really good. I didn’t even like them as a child. They must be more sophisticated than Milky Ways. NOW I NEED MORE.
@sammydog01@ybmuG@yeld I’ve never been a Milky Way or Three Musketeers fan. My faves are Baby Rurh, Snickers, pretty much anything with caramel and nuts.
@heartny My own version of that involves the Big Mac. It is entirely possible that I will never reach the next “Maybe” point; the delay time keeps increasing, and it has only been about a decade since the last verification. (And other data suggests that McD’s burgers have become significantly worse in the meantime.)
This only works if you regard the item in 3. as potentially edible, which many of us do not.
@werehatrack Is it good chocolate? No. Is it good peanut butter? Again, no. Do I eat them anyway? If presented with one, yes, yes I do.
@Doooood @werehatrack Do I like chocolate? Meh. Do I like peanut butter? Meh. Do I love a Reese’s Cup? Yes, yes I do.
I enjoy both.

If you have to consume candy corn
@lonocat Those drinks look fun.
I just nibble off the tip, maybe a bit of the middle band - the rest is a little too mealy in texture.
@stolicat I’m deaply sorry to all who read this
That’s what she said

Anything is better than circus peanuts.
@zhicks1987 I like circus peanuts. Candy corn too.

/giphy I have no taste
@sammydog01 I like both too. You sound like a good person to have margaritas with.
@yakkoTDI We should meet at this place:

Eat candy corn with roasted peanuts. Tastes like a Payday bar.
@yeld There is a recipe for knockoff Butterfingers made with candy corn and peanut butter. It’s pretty close.
@yeld Now there’s an underrated candy bar.
@sammydog01 @yeld Is It me, or are Butterfingers better than they used to be? They seem fresher tasting and less likely to break a tooth.
@lisagd @sammydog01 @yeld
I LOVE Payday bars!
@lisagd @yeld I don’t know but you gave me an excuse to go buy a Butterfinger bar and test it.
@lisagd @sammydog01 @yeld dang it, now I have to go get one, too! I better not be disappointed. I loved those things as a kid. The one I would buy when I had a free 25c… That and a balsa wood glider
@sammydog01 @ybmuG @yeld My work here is done.
@lisagd @ybmuG @yeld It was $1.49 instead of a quarter but it was really good. I didn’t even like them as a child. They must be more sophisticated than Milky Ways. NOW I NEED MORE.

@lisagd @sammydog01 @ybmuG @yeld Same here. And Paydays.
@Kyeh @sammydog01 @ybmuG @yeld Yes!

@heartny @werehatrack for me it was Spaghettios. Just about hurled. That was probably 25+ yrs ago and never again since.
I actually liked how the candy corn would hug my gums and the sugar would eventually melt.
Now that I’m missing a few teeth, that no longer feels the same.
I believe you are supposed nuzzle witches feet to get fresh ones per the image posted earlier by someone here about where candy corn came from.
