I don’t need to mop. I have a dog with a tongue.
Anything I drop has been picked up before I even realize it. Even most vegetables. (Luckily she doesn’t like onions or garlic, but seems to love tomato sauce.)
I’m a one-person household, don’t really cook, and am fairly neat/clean overall, so I routinely go months without mopping. In between, I may sweep stuff away from the edges and vacuum.
@zinimusprime For years I used to tease my friend about coming down to wash my floors (all but one room is tile). I hate cleaning floors. I have two Floormates and they were okay, but the cleanup for those wasn’t a lot of fun. Taking the brushes out, washing the filter…
It’s been a while since I last cleaned ours (I have my justifications, but they sound like excuses when I say them out loud ). This machine amazed me. Now when the ice shoot on the fridge overfills the cup (operator error, I’m sure) and the ice hits the floor, when the wet spot is wiped up with a paper towel, there’s no dirt residue like the Floormates would leave. I also like the idea of zero chemicals, because cats and stinky dawg.
And when I realized when it said it self cleans and I let it self clean?
I knew I made the right decision. I hope your kid likes hers as much as I like mine.
I sweep daily but mopping is usually weekly or every other week depending on what’s going on.
Never. That’s what the help is for.
I dropped something on the kitchen floor a couple days ago and then wiped the spot with a paper towel, that’s enough mopping for now.
@awk that’s what she sed
About six days ago when my cleaning lady was here.

When was the maid here last?
Our cleaners just mopped it today.
It doesn’t actually get mopped every day, but the kids ensure that it needs it every day.
That’s what the mopping robot is for.
When the Kitchen floor flooded due to a Leak. Now it has to be replaced.
We’re supposed to mop our kitchens?
@OnionSoup As it turns out, just the floors. If I had known that sooner it would have saved a lot of trouble with the wood cabinet doors.
A couple weeks ago after a party.

Last week. I got one of these and love it. I like that it cleans itself.
@lisaviolet My daughter just got one too!

Clean…??..I actually pay some adorable girl to clean…she loves to clean…I HATE to clean…so…win…win…chicken dinner…!!!
The entire house (all tile) is swept and mopped once a week.
I need to see my floors before I clean my floors.
(They currently have crates, some may be IRKs, cluttering them.)
