Where's the option for 'Only when company is coming'? Because that would be my choice. That and the messy catastrophe one. With two kids, two dogs, and a cat, I could mop every day and it would still by filthy by the evening.
@PurplePawprints Glad I'm not the only one thinking this. I literally just finished a late mopping of the floor here for an impending sister-in-law visit.
Then of course there is the drag the dog or kid across the floor method of cleaning it. Also my daughter's floor does not need mopped (or vacuumed) ever as no dirt will ever land there. It is 2' deep in junk.
I'm considering applying for a patent for my highly innovative method of mopping. I call it the "beagle mop". Sprinkle a few crumbs on the kitchen floor. My beagle (Charlie) will then proceed to lick every inch of the linoleum clean, damn near down to the sub flooring.

@PurplePawprints aw dang, I was going to say that.

@PurplePawprints Me, too. Long ago if I was doing heavy cleaning, the kids would ask who's coming.
Way too often.
Hoover floor mate weekly. Swifter wet thingy every other day or so.
Why is daily not an option? Is that not a common thing? Do I have issues? Will Bullwinkle realize the squirrel really just glides?
I only mop the floor with the blood of my enemies.
{gazing around at dirty floors}
Hmm. I either need to rethink that strategy or get more enemies.
I don't really mop. I use my Floormates (I have two) a couple of times a month.
I'll have to check with my cleaning staff . . .
@KDemo That's funny.
@1wally1 - Funny? I don't understand. The cleaning staff is quite separate from the wait staff.

@Kidsandliz A large sheepdog is great for general floor cleaning, though a Shih Tzu is better for getting into those tight corners.
If you count 'steam mops' then we do it once a week. But steam mops seem so far removed from the old bucket of cleaner.
