@caffeine_dude I hear ya. LCD monitors weren't readily available when I bought the thing. We're talking like 1999 here. Back then, 19" monitors were HUGE. My wife (now ex) was like, "WTF do you need that gigantic monitor for?" Um, to look at porn, of course. Duh...
I use an external display on my MacBook Air at home and on my MacBook Pro at work - where's Mr. Chinface right now? We need him to sing "Display not just for desktop..."!
I bought my current monitor close to a decade ago. It had very good specs at the time for an LCD and I'm still pleased with the picture. I'm being spoiled by all the widescreen monitors at work, though. Long-term I want to go to a dual monitor display, one monitor being a fancy monitor for photo work (perhaps something like this), one monitor being a broadcast production monitor. Of course, those are not cheap, so it's not happening anytime soon.
I just wooted (sorry!) a 1080p 24" LCD TV/Monitor for the computer room. Specifially for the dual purpose. I also recently repaired two by replacing bad caps in the power supply circuit, so I'm good for now.
I've NEVER bought a Monitor.. My Big Brother(an IT Professional) gave me MY first PC in the fall of 98 just before i started College (Sony Vaio, with 200mhz Pentium processor with MMX, 1Gig HD, and 60MB of Ram, ATI All in Wonder Video Card, with TV Tuner, and a Monster add on 3d card. AND a Zip Drive. sadly after i moved on, my Friends Parents used this rig until 2005-ish) and a 17 inch Viewsonic CRT. by Christmas 2000 it (the Veiwsonic)failed,(replaced under Warranty), used the refurb they sent me until it died in 06. so my brother sent me an Acer 17" 4:3 LCD, (which is still running, on it's 3rd owner now), then he got our parents a nice 19" Samsung Syncmaster 920nw. couple years down the road he got himself a Shiny new Big LCD, and handed down his 21" Dell LCD to the Parents, who in trn handed down the Samsung. in fact i'm using it right now.
The last monitor I bought was a 19" Sony Trinitron. It was a tube CRT monitor with a flat screen. That thing was tits. Had a beautiful picture.
@jsh139 Any display can have a beautiful picture of tits, as long as it is connected to the internet tubes.
@curtise this is true. Even tiny phone screens can show good tits.

@jsh139 The best CRT monitor is blurry compared to the worst LCD.
@Thumperchick I absolutely LOVE that! 😍

Still have a CRT monitor and a decade old desktop.
But if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Right..?

@PocketBrain Those are my favorite monitors in that video! I have 2 on my desk now. I've repaired a couple as well so I don't have to go widescreen.
I bought the 27" IPS AOC monitor from Meh a while back and I love it.
Before that I had the same crappy off brand 17" monitor for about 7 years.
The last time I bought a monitor was in 1998.

If I pulled the trigger I could be all
Instead of all
When my current one dies, or gets shot by my neighbor for attacking his dog.
@rockblossom Oh I see what you did there...
