They have taking me for $249 in the few months I have been a member. Half the crap I don't even use!!! Got a good amount of Christmas shopping done though. How about everyone else??? Whose spent the most???
@Thumperchick Well, I have 40 purchases but I doubt I spent as much as you did. Since it's not automatically summed, I'm not going to spend the time doing it manually.
Seriously though, @JonT...with numbers like that, how can I not get my goat prize? Maybe @snapster will just offer me equity in the company in return for my blind loyalty.
@JonT Twofer Tuesday...dirty filthy temptress. Glad i counted total orders instead of total quantity...that could be out of control. Keep the deals coming!
@studerc Holy crap. Thank you for making me feel better about my number! (To be fair, I also sold those kindles at a profit, so I haven't sunk in as much $$ as it seems.)
@Thumperchick haha, to partially redeem myself. Ive only made about 10 purchases for myself, including some pillows, shirts, fukus, and a dyson. Everything else Ive sold for profit. In merch ive probably spent about $800 here and ive profited about $700 off that. Helps offset my teacher salary!
Fun fact...since 2009 ive made 55 purchases on Woot...6 years for 55 purchases. On Meh, ive made almost the same amount of purchases, for a lower price total in 6 months. Bravo, meh. Solidify the fact that this is the site and community i want to place my time and money into.
@JonT Got me thinking. Anybody tossed the idea of getting certain benefits based off purchase item total. Would be cool to see something like "get free VMP with 5 purchases or $50 in total purchases for a month" little perks are nice and might get people to spend more. Heck even offering exclusive sales like shirts and merch for sale a little before launch time. All just thoughts from a dude that already spends too much here and wants some perks to feel special!
15 orders for a total of $164.51, not counting vmp or kickstarter. That is probably more than I ever dropped at Woot! I would say the forum is where they won me over. I am not much one to comment, but being able to follow some of these incredibly interesting threads keeps me here throughout the day.
24 orders and $850, not including VMP. Big things were a Dyson and a mattress. Plus I got reimbursed $176 from work for two AOC monitors. 17 orders were $20 or less.
$66. Which is a lot for someone who's unemployed, but I bought things I needed, not including the Meh shirt and the Fuku. Given how depressed I've these past few months, my fun and joy at getting the Fuku made it sort of a necessity.
@narfcake It's there - with $0.00 as the price. Apparently @jonT has the power to manipulate our orders and can order something as me just like I su - user .... layme!
$201 on 17 orders. It was quite a trip down memory lane going through them all. I wonder where I put all those darn batteries? I seem to have purchased a lot of purple items. For that I blame @Barney.
$258 on 14 orders. I come here every day hoping to find something I like enough to pull the trigger on. I always feel a little sad when the daily deal isn't a match for me.
My favorite purchase has to be the 95 Built NY cases I got. I feel especially lucky because I got a great variety of cases and a surprisingly large amount were for 15 inch and up laptops and iPads or generic 10 inch and 7 inch tablets. I still got a decent amount of Kindle fire cases too, but not nearly as many as some and we actually have 5 Fire's here anyway. I really can't imagine a deal this good or more fun again. I loved the reveal and swapping threads. I can't imagine Meh made a dime on this, but that deal really clinched my permanent loyalty.
Meh should incentify being a top buyer. Turn it into a contest of sorts. Top three spenders each month get a Fukubukuro. It will cost them some cheap crap, but it will motivate us to spend oh so much more.
@phatmass I mentioned above having a series of unlockable rewards such as Free VMP if one passes a threshold of orders or total purchase cost. In the grand scheme of things, a couple free items wouldn't hurt the bottom line, however the incentive, like you mentioned, could promote more purchasing.
@phatmass The downside I see with this is if a few people end up WAY higher than others, then it loses the competitiveness of it all.. And it would definitely create a big challenge for any new members trying to play catch up! Would the "goal" numbers be made available, so you know how much to try and spend, or would it be guess work?
@grum That would be cool too. It doesn't have to be a competition either--maybe more of like a frequent flyer program. More you spend = bigger perks or rewards.
@phatmass I like that. Although, if it's merely aesthetic, what about having it be based on number of orders instead of total purchase cost? That way the people who buy, say, a $325 4K Monitor, won't immediately surpass everyone who didn't, even though they may have bought a lot of other crap.
@phatmass I definitely like the idea of being a monthly thing! Or like the count resets the day of a fuku, and whoever buys the most or spends the most on the (unknown) date of the next fuku wins!
@phatmass@grum I do legitimately like a lot of the ideas I see on the forums (including these), and I have a ton of my own that I think are pretty decent and would love to see on the site. It's not a matter of not wanting to implement these things and build a bunch of awesome site features, it's a matter of us having very limited resources and those resources currently being pulled in other directions to make sure everything is running smoothly. Once those things are taken care of we should have some more breathing room to work on these kinds of things.
My husband commented that he looks @ the site and never finds anything to buy, yet every other day there is a package from meh for me on our doorstep. I REALLY don't think he will appreciate how much I have spent here! ;)
Not including kickstarter and vmp charges, between my account and my husband's, I have placed 84 orders for 98 items and spent $552. (I'm counting the Built sleeves and As Seen on TV bundles as one, but 2fers as 2 when figuring up the item total.) So, even though I've placed a lot of orders, I apparently only like the cheap stuff.
$449 on 45 purchases last count. Don't think it includes my last 2 purchases.
$217 in total.
$747, 25 purchases.
@Thumperchick Hey folks, we have a winner!
@cengland0 So many Kindles. Also, $758 if you count the kickstarter.
@Thumperchick Well, I have 40 purchases but I doubt I spent as much as you did. Since it's not automatically summed, I'm not going to spend the time doing it manually.
@cengland0 still adding? I'll take estimates!
Oh, I also didn't include my mediocre.com orders of shirts, aprons, etc.
Cheer up, suckahs! $228
$91.00. Not including VMP.
$264 excluding VMP fee. More than I meh have thought.
$119 if you count the mediocre shirt and kickstarter too.
$387. I am truly depressed now. I had no idea I had spent that much!
$386 over 27 purchases Not including VMP fees.
I would tell you, but Math is hard...
Actually, 27 orders for $628 not including VMP
That's a lot more than I figured it would be.
@capguncowboy
Something >$550 haven't added it up the last few
Too much, and yet strangely not enough...
I'm not sure I want to look - not so much on what I spent, but what I didn't spend instead on shirts. :)
(Hurry up, @snapster ...)
$333 not counting vmp
Any minute now @unixrab will swoop in with his 2 orders for $20.
@JonT "3" orders.
@JonT dont forget to include shipping.
@Glidde8 He did include it. @unixrab's purchases have all been fuku's $5 + $5 shipping.
@JonT @thumperchick @narfcake @glidde8 Do I get to subtract the ...uh..."unwanted" shipments that @jont forced upon me?
@JonT you wish
$246, most of that a roomba and the Razer headset.
$11, I'm no rube.
Holy fuck, 52 orders... $1169, including the kickstarter, but not including VMP. Do I win a prize?
Seriously though, @JonT...with numbers like that, how can I not get my goat prize? Maybe @snapster will just offer me equity in the company in return for my blind loyalty.
@studerc your prize is the promise of spending plenty more on those dastardly twofers in the future!
And an eventual goat prize, I promise! Getting those and sending them out is one of my New Years resolutions and we know people always stick to those!
@studerc holy shit that's almost my mortgage payment
@Thumperchick haha, to partially redeem myself. Ive only made about 10 purchases for myself, including some pillows, shirts, fukus, and a dyson. Everything else Ive sold for profit. In merch ive probably spent about $800 here and ive profited about $700 off that. Helps offset my teacher salary!

@Glidde8 Nice observation - that IS my mtg payment.
@studerc Free financial counseling session? That is a lot of money and I assume a lot of crap. But hopefully you had a lot of fun buying it.
@Glidde8 That's double our mortgage payment.
@studerc $51 dollars separates us, but what way…. Buy two coffee makers if you want to play it safe. Wouldn’t want @JonT to reward the wrong goat:)
@Glidde8 That's my car payment, my house payment, and my cell phone payment
$661.42 -- at least my vmp is free!
@studerc man I'll donate $5 to get you VMP for a month. You seem like a pretty cool dude.
@Glidde8 Thanks, yes, I am cool.
Thank goodness for VMP!
Else I wouldn't already have 18 orders from beginning October.
;) to know the $ total including VMP, lest I feel blue about the greenbacks.
$295, and it's all personal-use stuff clogging up the place!
$5 for futa 4
free shipping from hanging out at meh on christmas
15 orders for a total of $164.51, not counting vmp or kickstarter. That is probably more than I ever dropped at Woot! I would say the forum is where they won me over. @HELLOALICE - Rationalization at its finest.
$319 for 28 orders since November 11th
$77.
$302 for 12 orders, not including Kickstarter and VMP. I'm happy with my relative restraint.
13 orders, $336 ($250 of which was a TV), not counting Kickstarter, VMP, or the VMP exclusives
$268 not including VMP dues.
$20 ;-)
@unixrab ... for 3. :)
@narfcake FUKU's 4 lyfe!
@unixrab ... and neoprene too!
@narfcake that was forced upon me by @jonT -- doesn't count.
@unixrab If it shows up on your orders page, it counts.
@unixrab Are you saying that the entire $20 you've spent here has been on FUKUs? That's impressive.
@narfcake it does not show thank you
@christinerenee Yes... @JonT (revealer of private info) can confirm
@christinerenee @unixrab That's only two fukus though, right? Since someone doesn't even accept free VMP…
@brhfl Oh right. I forgot about that. What a sucker. @unixrab, I'm no longer impressed. Or least not as much.
@unixrab Strange, as my 10-pack shows up on my orders page. @JonT, can you confirm?
@brhfl Correct. Two Fuku's - I did not NOT accept free VMP. I was banned from it. Go back and look at the page.
@christinerenee
Phew!!! I was getting exhausted trying keep impressing you! Thanks for letting me off the hook ;-)@narfcake It's there - with $0.00 as the price. Apparently @jonT has the power to manipulate our orders and can order something as me just like I su - user .... layme!
@unixrab Sorry about that, not sure how I forgot that!
@brhfl
$134, 10 orders, 18 items (counting my 30-packs of neoprene as a single item, two-fers as two items).
That comes to a bit less than $7.45 per item.
33 orders. I am too lazy to add up the dollar amount.
$1096.
Only beat by @studerc... THIS SITE AIN'T BIG ENOUGH FOR THE TWO OF US.
@grum Keep in mind...that was back on the 21st, almost two weeks ago. Ive added three more orders to jump it up to $1221.
@studerc You are a worthy opponent.
$31.. I've spent a lot more over the years at Woot.
$15 can we still be friends though
@Lotsofgoats of course.
@christinerenee ok good
$220 for me. More than some, less than others. How meh of me.
$1,063 on 30 purchases.
What the crap dude. If my wife finds this thread = instant divorce.
@phatmass haha awesome.
$115, 12 orders since august 2014, plus vmp, plus stuff from mediocre.com
$215 on 22 orders, excluding VMP, since my first purchase in November.
Two-for-Tuesday has been my biggest downfall... And that's what broke my resolve first. Darn cutting boards.
@primrosewater They are really quite good cutting boards, I use them almost daily!
@Saffer49 I agree. It was nice to have new ones! (My others began their service in college to an apartment of four girls who actually cooked).
$201 on 17 orders. It was quite a trip down memory lane going through them all. I wonder where I put all those darn batteries? I seem to have purchased a lot of purple items. For that I blame @Barney.
@heartny Boy, everyone's grouchy tonight. Buck up! Purple is wonderful.
@Barney Not to worry. I love purple too :-)
@heartny I know and happy purple!
$42 on 2 sales of 9 things (In for 3 on a 2 for Tuesday)
Not bad for my 1st week I think.
@Barney is off the hook 'cause I'm happy with it!
@Mehrocco_Mole Aww, thanks. Happy purple!
$495. And now I'm depressed.
$991. 41 orders.
$86.61 in orders.
$258 on 14 orders. I come here every day hoping to find something I like enough to pull the trigger on. I always feel a little sad when the daily deal isn't a match for me.
My favorite purchase has to be the 95 Built NY cases I got. I loved the reveal and swapping threads. I can't imagine Meh made a dime on this, but that deal really clinched my permanent loyalty.
$899 not counting VMP or mediocre.com purchases. The one big item was the camera for $380, the rest were all under $50.
$690 for 32 purchases, not including VMP.
But the fun has been priceless!
$245 plus VMP
Meh should incentify being a top buyer. Turn it into a contest of sorts. Top three spenders each month get a Fukubukuro. It will cost them some cheap crap, but it will motivate us to spend oh so much more.

@studerc It would be cool for the top buyer to have a dollar sign/bill as their user emblem. Or something similar.
@phatmass The downside I see with this is if a few people end up WAY higher than others, then it loses the competitiveness of it all.. And it would definitely create a big challenge for any new members trying to play catch up! Would the "goal" numbers be made available, so you know how much to try and spend, or would it be guess work?
@kadagan It would be a monthly thing. Everybody starts at zero on the first day of the month.
@grum Another stellar idea. Who is running this site? We need a coup.
@phatmass Indeed. @JonT, @shawn, etc: this stuff is gold!
@phatmass I definitely like the idea of being a monthly thing! Or like the count resets the day of a fuku, and whoever buys the most or spends the most on the (unknown) date of the next fuku wins!
@phatmass @grum I do legitimately like a lot of the ideas I see on the forums (including these), and I have a ton of my own that I think are pretty decent and would love to see on the site. Once those things are taken care of we should have some more breathing room to work on these kinds of things.
@JonT Oh yeah, I totally get it. Features like these should be towards the back of the priority queue. =]
@grum I'll add it to my (way too long) list!
My husband commented that he looks @ the site and never finds anything to buy, yet every other day there is a package from meh for me on our doorstep. I REALLY don't think he will appreciate how much I have spent here! ;)
