@duodec@DVDBZN Yes, just finished the 3 hours of main courses here, now on pause and port and nod for a bit til we hit the pie - god im glad we only do this once a year. Well, maybe twice. Or three times …

We’re not doing ours till Friday. I woke up at 2 am feeling like a bag of smashed a-holes and didn’t sleep between 2 and 6, so I didn’t eat much at all. Tension/sinus headache I think? Dunno. Feel fine now tho. Weird.
It happens every year, I cook and taste everything as I am doing it to the point where I am not hungry when everything is ready. I finished cooking four hours ago and still not ready for pie.
I felt like I ate a lot at the time but then I got to thinking about it… 1 slice of turkey/gravy, some mashed taters, half my dressing, half my corn and a biscuit (we ate out as I’m still setting up household), apple cider. We came back here for desserts of which we had many, and I was too full to eat any. I was thinking, rats, I’m gonna have to walk 5 miles tomorrow (today) and then remembered what I actually ate and it wasn’t that much so now I feel better.
A couple oz turkey (they just got it out of the oven and I got the first slice off the breast with the crispy skin), a tbsp fresh cranberries, a couple oz rare baron of beef with horseradish, a couple oz cheese, a half cup sad canned sweet potatoes, a half cup perfect broccoli, a cup of the best restaurant mashed potatoes ever, one bite of boring cold roll. A tbsp dark chocolate mousse, a tbsp whipped cream and just a taste of excellent pecan pie. Stuffed. One luxe mid day meal and back to keto. Today we are having a cookout/board game day, bratwurst with sauerkraut, giant jalapenos stuffed with seasoned cream cheese and wrapped in thick deli pepper bacon, pumpkin pie (none for me).
i only had one plate with a small amount each of turkey, potatoes, stuffing, and green beans around 4pm. i felt full at the end and as usual i was the last one eating which one of the kids was already complaining about because she couldn’t have dessert until i was finished. so i let the plate go. then we launched into dessert and it was my birthday and my mom brought my favorite cherry cheesecake from a restaurant at home. of course i had a piece of that, which is very rich and i felt stuffed by the end. we all left soon after at about 6:30-7 and i wedged myself into my car for a two hour drive home. around midnight i had a ham & butter sandwich. anyway, point being i was full from eating so quickly as opposed to eating a ton.
on sunday i’m making thanksgiving dinner for just my partner and i which i will serve with the football game at 1pm so we can graze all day and into the night. that’s when the real pigging out begins. i don’t even have to wear pants for that one.
Had seconds, but just turkey and veggies. (No mashed, no sweet pots, little dressing, no cornbread first time around) Weight was actually down from yesterday by half a pound.
I burned the pork, badly enough to need a fire extinguisher but not badly enough to call the fire department.
My parents brought noodles, my sister brought these cute cheese balls, there were greens and cheese and fake flan. It was a decent meal and I ate more than my share of cheese and flan (and drank plenty of wine) but not gut-stuffing.
I showed up late cause… Reasons. But grandma was thrilled. Had the usuals and was stuffed. Then was sent home with a box… Not sure what is all there yet
It’s just another Thursday in the Great White North, eh?

@curtise grab some poutine with a side of cranberry and you’ll fit right in.
@curtise Maybe you have leftovers in the freezer left from October?
Haven’t eaten yet. The hot dogs still await.
@lordbowen I. What. How. Why. Why. Are. There. Hot. Dogs. Why
@lordbowen @unksol I had a peanut butter sandwich…
I ate mashed potatoes with a side of mashed potatoes and mashed potatoes on top.
@jsh139 Padawan. You must layer gravy in between
@unksol
Still eating; haven’t gotten to dessert yet. It’s still 9PM here, so Thanksgiving isn’t over yet.
@DVDBZN For TX folks they have a remarkably east coast time sense.
Today we had a wonderful dinner and left just enough room for a slice of pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream.
And the leftovers… oh, the leftovers… tomorrow will be glorious!

Too much.
A lot. And I’m still eating.
I just warmed up third dinner.

Family is out of town, so I just ate my usual grub, passed out water drunk on the floor, and dreamt of bar brawls. Just another Thursday.
Not enough, apparently. My pants still don’t fit well.
(I’m down 15# since July and having to wear belts now.)
One plate of normal food, one plate of dessert. Anything more would make me sick.
I think I drank more than I ate but it was all glorious!

@moondrake Oh man… I could have had the beef and left it at that!

nothing. domino’s was fucking closed.
I’m not quite awake enough from my food coma to consider myself awake yet. And I’m still full.
