I have an entire organizer drawer full of the small ones. Then I have about 10 larger ones like the ones being sold today. I don't even listen to music so I obviously have a buying addiction.
@Catdad When Radio Shack was closing some of the stores in the area, I bought 4 of the parts cabinets and have been using them to story my own crap around the house. Here's a photo of 3 of them. Sorry about the quality, I'm busy at work right now and this is the best I can do.
@joelmw The sad part is that electronics is a hobby but I have zero time to allocate to it. I probably spent less than a day building any projects within the last 5 years. Boo!
In consider this my retirements savings. When I no longer have to work, I will have tons of stuff to keep me occupied and out of the senior center.
I've got more headphones than ears so I kinda just pull 'em out and look at 'em (you know, sorta like how Scrooge McDuck looks at his money).. it's not that I feel rich, I just feel, "How come I got so many of these damned things?".. My favorite is a neck ear muff speaker unit.. great sound and just will not fall off my gourd no matter how much I move.. not a bluetooth but then... Who needs discolored canines?
I always think that there is always a better pair of headphones on the horizon which helps fuel my headphone addiction. The best pair of earbuds I bought were a pair of audio-technica headphones I bought in Japan.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Turtle Beach headphones that came in one of my Fukus. The best pair I bought on Meh were the Able Planet ones. I purchased three.
I went through a phase where I was looking for the perfect pair of sound-isolating earphones. It also happened to be a time when I was a recent widower engaging in a bit of the retail therapy. Also, I have a habit of saving this sort of thing. And then came meh. I need some cabinets like @cengland0's. Though, in fact, the new wife makes me thin the herd periodically.
@joelmw Mrs. cengland0 has been in Puerto Rico for 3 months and she comes back tomorrow. She hasn't seen these cabinets in the house yet. Last time she saw them, I just got them that day and they were taken apart in the garage. I hope I don't get in trouble.
Thanks to Meh I have a bunch of earphones and ear buds. Don't know how many ear buds I've given away. They're kind of like door prizes when you come to visit.
I prefer earphones for myself, that way it's obvious to my husband that I can not hear him.
We use a lot of Sennheiser product (HD 600's mostly) for field monitoring. I have my own HD 800's that I wear when I'm jumping between edit suites or if I am proofing at my desk . . . but for everyday listening (music) I really prefer wearing my old Sony XB500's at the office or my (coveted) Philips SBC HP1000's at home.
I scored the Philips cans from a now defunct DoD site for $20. I really wish I had ordered all they had in stock looking back on it, they are amazingly well balanced and the most comfortable cans I have ever worn. Great performing headphones for everyday listening - better than the HD 600's IMHO. To me, the Philips sound a lot like the ATH-AD700 (retail at $250+) but maybe not quite as forward. Paired with the right amp, the Philips are my favorite by far for everyday wear. They evaporate on your head after a few seconds.
For whatever reason I always forget my earbuds at home and buy a new pair in the airport every time I travel :(
Ever since meh started selling them, I've got speakers, earbuds, & headphones galore.
Not too many, because that's not possible, but enough for now (as determined by my sweetie.)
I have more than 6 just counting the ones purchased from Meh!
Beyerdyamic DT990's, NVX XPT100's, Creative Aurvana Live!'s, a few sets of earbuds, IEM's, etc, etc. Too many to count I'd say.

@cengland0 !!!! Would you be so kind to post a full photo of your cabinet of treasures and information so I may start my own?

@cengland0 Dude, I confess, this is all giving me a bit of a broner.

@cengland0 You are too damned organized! Looks like it's something that's the opposite of hoarding. You may need an intervention.
Before I met meh? None.
Now? God only knows.

Two for me, A pair of Skullcandy Crushers I used to use daily, then I went back to my trusty pair of G35's
