I’ve acquired 36 IRK’s with a current streak of 32 consecutive ; I’ve also gotten 2 FUKOBUKURO bags (IRK’s predecessor) and several IRK’s from SideDeal. I’ve given several bags away but still have plenty on hand to last for a little while.
@IndifferentDude same here. There are several piles in the garage, basement and one of my closets. Not gonna tske the energy to count them lol, because Meh
As a subclass of tote bag, I will say that I have more IRK bags than I can rationally justify, but not such a large number as to constitute “too many” under my current circumstances. But for the superclass of just tote bags in general, yes, I have too many. And might I just state for the record that while the IRK bags are large enough to sometimes get stuffed past reasonable weight limits at the grocery store. Panera’s catering delivery totes (which are vurra nize) are impractically gargantuan.
@Kyeh Much depends upon the plastic selected. Ordinary urethane will disintegrate in six months or less at this fiber diameter, while PETE could last a year or more in direct sunlight if it incorporates a UV blocker, and will go more than a decade if stored out of the sun. Styrene fiber… let’s politely hope they aren’t.
I had to have at least mid 30’s if not more, I’ve ripped through them, my whole family has them, my neighbors family has them as they see me carrying them around and like the size and pockets and always ask for them. I still have a good amount too. I decided to share the wealth instead of hoarding them.
Can’t count my IRK bags, my wife has them distributed all over Syracuse, NY. Some at my father in laws senior living facility, some at friends houses when she brings thigs over, some at other family members houses … Only reason why I have to keep buying IRKs is because I can’t get her to bring the bags home!!
BTW I also use them when I go camping, really great for the beach towels, goggles, sunscreen. I have one full of lanterns (some from meh).
Wait … what SideDeal has IRKs!!! (now I have to monitor SideDeal every day!!)
I’m at 22 myself. Although I sent a bunch out packed with D&D stuff stuff to Meh moofs recently. My wife and daughter have stolen a few but I’ve got about 10 I still keep in my car. Solid bags
I have too many to count. My favorite is the fanny pack I got way back in the beginning. I also kept the first (second?) fuku where I sat and looked at trying to figure out what it was and bought it just to see. That one took 90 minutes to sell out.

@IndifferentDude Only FUKOs no FUKUs?
@yakkoTDI Yep. I didn’t join until May of 2015 so I guess the FUKUS were offered before then??
I got my second IRK today and it came with no bag!!! Sad day.
@Acer0123 Maybe one of these guys can send you one! But actually, I’ve heard that if you contact customer service they’ll send you one.
@Acer0123 @Kyeh Yes they will.
@Kidsandliz @Kyeh thank you, they are sending one my way!
@Acer0123 @Kidsandliz
Is it ever too many?
Better not tell you now

I got my second ever IRK today and it did come with a nice burgundy? bag.
I use my IRK bags, so they eventually wear out. Should I be hoarding them on the assumption they’ll eventually have massive value?
I ask this of my beanie babies every day.
Nice! I’ve managed to get 34 IRK’s and 7 fuko’s. I’ve made the mistake of doing the math…
No idea. The Brin Page Corporation will not let me find out.
This kind of woven plastic fabric breaks down after a while so hoarding them will leave you with shreds and dust.

These are the 28 IRK totes that I donated to a local farmer’s market. I have others, but not sure how many.
Actually busted the straps on my black IRK bag. I guess I’ll have to use a different one.
“Too many” didn’t exist at $5, per. But one is too many at the $70 price point a while back. I still have unused $5 coupons from that.

@svogels1 It’s only happened a few times that SideDeal will offer an IRK during a mehrathon. I believe Morningsave has had a few also.

I use my bags for grocery shopping.
