It was two full bathrooms, (and yes, we did “his” and “hers”) but now it’s 1.5 because hubby ripped the shower out of his with the intention of remodeling, only to abandon the project as soon as the demolition was complete. (it’s been about 5 years now) So now he showers in what used to be my bathroom. Hmmph. I tried redecorating it with a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff to make him want to get his own shower again, but it didn’t work.
3.25 = 2 upstairs & 1 downstairs and .25 is in the basement so people don’t have to walk up a flight of stairs. Don’t want to get sued for some dumbass hurting themselves on our property because what goes up sometimes comes back down.
I just have what realtors call a 3/4 bathroom. Toilet, sink, shower, no tub. The place had a tub but I had it taken out and a shower stall put in, making room for a small dresser.
I’ve never heard of this 3/4 bath nonsense. When did that start? The house I rent is listed as two bathrooms even though one has a shower instead of a tub. A lot of adults never use a tub, so calling it a 3/4 bath seems silly.
@RiotDemon A bathroom with just a sink and toilet is a half bath. One with a shower but no tub is 3/4. A full bath has a tub, toilet and sink. At least that’s how realtors used to list them. It’s been a long time since I read home listings so that may have changed.
@moondrake I understand the half bath distinction since there’s not an easy way to bathe… But I wouldn’t consider a bathroom that has a stand alone bathtub without a shower head a full bath because I wouldn’t wash my hair in a bath tub.
The thought that houses have to have a bath tub seems outdated. People say they need a tub to bathe babies, but there’s little baby baths you can use on your counter.
When my family visits my house, they don’t even use the guest bathroom for showering because the small tub is annoying. They end up using my master bathroom where the shower uses the same amount of floor space but feels twice as big since you’re not standing in a tub.
2.5 in the house:
Master bath with toilet, 4x6ft double showerhead glass block walk-in shower, vanity
Guest bath with toilet (soon to have a bio-bidet), garden tub, vanity, shower stall
’half bath’ with toilet and vanity.
Both the full baths have the toilet in a separate space (about 3.5 x 6 ft) with outswing doors.
Just finished adding a full (or actually a .75 bath if you can believe the posts above) to the pool house.
Plus live on an acre of land in a rural area at the edge of town so basically almost any vegetation is another partial bathroom… depending on the time of day
Two bathrooms and a very secluded back porch = effectively 2.5 bathrooms.

@narfcake
I don’t like shower curtains.
@Pony i have 2 bathrooms and its basicly HIS and HERS cause i also have my son, and my bathrooms is almost finishes being fixed after 2.5 years!!!
Basement drains are worth at least a half, right?
@nogoodwithnames Quarter. You don’t want to use that like an actual half-bathroom.
There’s 15 toilets in my home, however my home is a dormatory so that’s normal.

Two full bathrooms.
.
Especially useful after a tequila bender.
@PocketBrain
Your cats do tequila benders?
I thought cats were more into martinis.
@f00l
3 (with plumbing roughed in for the 4th), but occasionally have to wait since only one is on the main floor.
Four - two upstairs (master + guest baths), powder room on main floor, full bath in the basement. BTW, master and basement have bidets.
One Full with Tub and Bidet, another Full with Tub, a Three Quarter with Shower, and Two Half Baths
One full and one half. And we live in the country, so really I can pee wherever I want.

2.5 bathrooms in the house.
2,578 urinals on my 5 acres of woods.

Edit: Realtor.com still lists them this way.

@RiotDemon I wish I’d been able to find an affordable tub sized shower. Mine’s pretty small.
We have one bathroom. Usually it’s not a problem because there’s only two of us. But it was an interesting week when we had some plumbing issues…
One in my apartment, but then there’s kind of a free-for-all toilet in the basement with the laundry machines.
@brhfl
A free-for-all toilet in the common basement?
That sounds open and available for various interpretive uses.

Re: extra outdoor facilities
With nighttime accompaniment from insects and other critters?
@f00l yep… it gives you something to aim at!
