I never check it directly, but if I come across an article describing a particularly interesting AMA, I’ll go to the site. The one about behind-the-scenes life of cruise ship workers is weirdly fascinating.
@Willijs3 It’s usually a fluff piece on mainstream media . . . i.e. “Ten ways passengers annoy flight attendants,” and the article with list those top ten things gleaned from an AMA featuring a flight attendant and often a link to the discussion itself.
I used to be quite active in a number of the queer subreddits, but kind of stopped for some unknown reason. Maybe I got too sucked in over here? Though as of late I have been popping in on /r/boardgames.
I use the relevant subreddits to disseminate some of the junk what I spend my free time littering the internet with, but otherwise keep the site at arm’s length. Like the vast majority of forums, it seems to be rife with people I’d prefer to not interact with beyond paying for my extra value meal. Not like here. Buncha fine upstanding folks 'round these parts.
@Steve7654 sadly, the wind has gone out of its sails in the past year or two. When Reddit added the multireddit feature, people seemed to lose interest. It’s still a fun idea, and I’m happy whenever anyone posts Their Reddit.
@PocketBrain A social media site. It’s divided into communities called “subreddits,” such as “/r/funny”, “/r/news”, and “/r/pics” where people discuss and post content relevant to the subreddit. Each user has a front page, which is an aggregate of all of the subreddits they are “subscribed” to.
Well, that’s the long and short of it. If you’re curious I recommend just checking it out yourself.
@subbota and thank you for answer below, it helped too. Originally I was disappointed there wasn’t just a “don’t know” category, but now starting to agree more with the “don’t care” part.
If I have an account I don’t know the username or password, but I do look at it when it has an answer to an experience related question that I googled.
FUCK Leddit. It’s nothing but a circle jerk for liberal assholes. Kinda like this site, actually.
Stay classy, @Dizavid, stay classy.
You’re doing a excellent job of giving conservatives a stellar reputation.
@haydesigner better to just ignore him. I learned my lesson a while back.
Oh, I wasn’t going to engage him, @RiotDemon. Just one mock and walk away. I don’t let intolerance and anger like that drag me down.
@Dizavid Tell me more!
@Dizavid Better than conservative assholes. Those douchebags won’t even give a brother a reach-around.
@Dizavid The thing is, it’s kind of the opposite. It’s full of neo-nazi MRA morons.
I very occasionally check very specific Reddits. Mostly having to do with video games. Otherwise, I don’t bother with it.
Only for the NSFW ones, though.
@haydesigner /R/GONEWILD especially
@communist

@huja You’ve found articles about Reddit AMAs? How deep into the bowels of the internet do you have to go to find sites like that?
@Willijs3 It’s usually a fluff piece on mainstream media . . . i.e. “Ten ways passengers annoy flight attendants,” and the article with list those top ten things gleaned from an AMA featuring a flight attendant and often a link to the discussion itself.

@communist meh; 8837 and 30,508 here. Had 10k on Voat also until it turned into a right wing extremist circle jerk site and I stopped going there.
I recently got into Reddit, as in actually got an account. I still use it sparingly.
/r/aww is my weakness.
I have BaconIt on my phone too.
@narfcake Do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior /r/wholesomememes?
Much like facebook, twitter, and instagram, maybe reddit has a use, but I haven’t found it yet.
What happened to the “other” choice?

@m33rkat thank you for answering with something even I understood
and@pocketbrain thank you for asking so I didn’t have to be the one to ask

Reddit is like the internet in microcosm. It represents the best and worst humanity has to offer, everything in between, and metric butt-tons of porn.
It was interesting to see two worlds collide. I visit r/homebrewing about as often as I do Meh.
