@eonfifty@RiotDemon I think if you look at the amount of comments, topics, and replies I’ve posted - it’s fair to say at least 5 of those are accidental.
@RiotDemon I just liked your comment. Will that help? But actually I agree with you on the talk a lot needs to like a lot to have a high score… not practical or even desirable in some cases.
@aetris@Thumperchick wasn’t the word altruism in the profile clickable before to explain how they got the score? It’s underlined but I can’t click it anymore. Not sure if it’s cause I’m mobile.
A few members have notably high altruism scores. Mine is over 9; reports have been seen of scores 10x that high.
If you wanna go chase a high altruism score, the trick seems to be to post only a very little, but star a lot of posts. Give out stars, then more, then way way more.
Be aware that you will have some serious catching up to do, if you wanna chase the highest reported scores. And there is no public leaderboard I know of anyway.
In the thread I linked, @shdrlu has a score of 99+. In other words, she gives approx 100 stars out for every comment she writes. (If I did the math right.) That’s a lot. I suppose if she never ever wrote anything her score would be even more ridiculously high. (Thanks for all the stars @shrdlu!)
The only time I wonder is when the score is less than 1. That basically means they don’t star anyone.
I don’t think so, but I’d love to be proven wrong.
You don’t.
Search for whatever specific you are looking for?
Google.
@narfcake You have to say: “OK Google” for it to work narf.
@therealjrn great you just set off my google home.
I’m trying to find the four posts I made and also liked. So I can unlike them. I’m working on my altruism score.
/image working on altruism score
@eonfifty you only have 473 comments and 20 topics to search. It’ll take no time.
The altruism score won’t be affected by removing your own likes.
@eonfifty my self-likes haunt me.
@eonfifty @Thumperchick 7???
/giphy ew
@eonfifty @Thumperchick Yep, I think we used to have somebody who just went ahead and liked all their own posts. Kinda weird, but at least consistent.
@eonfifty @therealjrn @Thumperchick
@shrdlu does that. She also likes a ton of other people’s. She might have the highest altruism score.
The score is kinda silly. If you talk a lot, you will never have a high score unless you like every single thing.
@eonfifty @RiotDemon I think if you look at the amount of comments, topics, and replies I’ve posted - it’s fair to say at least 5 of those are accidental.
@RiotDemon The score should decrease, but that is worth it to be free of self-likes. I found one already.

@eonfifty What are you using a search string? (asking for a friend)
@RiotDemon I just liked your comment. Will that help? But actually I agree with you on the talk a lot needs to like a lot to have a high score… not practical or even desirable in some cases.
@Kidsandliz @RiotDemon I don’t think it matters at all if you lock your profile like some do.
@therealjrn “eonfifty said”, “eonfifty posted”, “eonfifty had”, "eonfifty shared” etc.
/giphy search internet cats
@therealjrn Now who would do that? (snicker)
@Thumperchick - What is the highest altruism score you can get?
@aetris @Thumperchick wasn’t the word altruism in the profile clickable before to explain how they got the score? It’s underlined but I can’t click it anymore. Not sure if it’s cause I’m mobile.

@f00l This is why my score dropped. Sure, I could either star even more or post less, but that’s not happening.
@f00l @narfcake My altruism score is OK, but my humility score prevents me from bragging.

Since I continuously scrape all your data, activities, and thoughts, I can prove that you are a constant, obsessive, annoying braggart!

@RiotDemon
You know for certain that the altruism score is a straight ratio, not exponential, or logarithmic, or the result of some other fancy-assed formula?
If so, did the Meh staff spill, or did you work it out?
I never thought to try to dissect. It’s too Meh-cute as is.

@f00l photo from the other thread. You can see where you hover over the word:
@RiotDemon
Hovering on mobile kinda sux.
And only recently has loading my profile not caused my mobile browser to crash.
And my profile is a mess. Like me. So I ignore it.
/giphy stalking “likes”
I say if more people practiced self liking each night the world would be a better place.

“Self liking”, is that what they’re calling it now? Well it doesn’t matter what you call it, it will still make you go blind!
@Mothersnakes And grow hair on your palms. Ew.
