@Wollyhop well, when my Mom wanted a Grilled cheese, I would put Butter all over it, several slices of Cheese & use my Mini George Forman grill! A whole lot easier & clean up is also better than use a Pan & the stove top!
Was gifted a jar of kaya jam over the holidays to put on toast. I have to say I’m a fan!
Per wikipedia: Coconut jam, also known as kaya jam or simply kaya, is a sweet spread made from a base of coconut milk, eggs, sugar and sometimes pandan leaves as a flavouring. It is popular throughout Southeast Asia.
Toasted
Toasty.
with avocado
With butter
Dry
With a decent champagne.
@Pavlov
@Pavlov yes, and starting with “Here’s to the recent lottery jackpot winner”
That’s what happens when you misspell his last name. I’ll try again…
/showme Leonardo DiCaprio eating toast and drinking champagne at the same time
however heywood banks likes it
Buttered THEN toasted…and sometimes with a slice of cheese, often Havarti. It’s like eating cream!
Fried in butter, which the Talkie Toaster never offered to do.
I don’t like toast : /
@Wollyhop Sad… more for me!
@mycya4me I like it in context of sandwich. I won’t eat a piece of burnt bread, but if it is with a grilled cheese, then yes, I will eat toast.

@mycya4me My mom/dad uses a skillet with butter.
@Wollyhop Yep, That is how I was shown to make them. The George Forman is easier & less clean up!
Dampen the outside of the baguette and drop it in a pre-heated oven (around 400f) for about 5 minutes.
@chienfou never thought of that. I’ll have to try it.
@pmarin
Works wonderfully well at reviving bread that’s been purchased the day before.
@chienfou @pmarin I’ve been putting them in a paper bag and dampening the bag - but it works without the bag?
@Kyeh @pmarin
Yep.
/showme a person eating a piece of buttered toast & drinking a cup of Hot Coco in front of a fire
@mediocrebot Where’s the butter, bot?
@mediocrebot all the men look alike when show me does it.
@mycya4me weird way to hold toast
@Cerridwyn I agree, it is AI Bot way of holding it without butter
See… I think there is no bad toast (except, obviously burnt). Anywhere between barely toasted and almost burnt is good.
I wouldn’t want to live in a world where toast was always made in one way all the time. I need toastal variety.
Short, to the point, and with a dash of humor.
@macromeh Cheers!
