Hey, Meh...word on the street is that Home Depot is dropping the Ego line.
8Get your purchasers on this ASAP! I switched to Ego about 4 years ago and have been impressed with their tools.

Yeh, Meh, I’d buy those for 25 cents on the dollar, or less, if you get that merchandise to liquidate, provided you also sell the batteries at a reasonable (i.e., much less than MSRP) price.
I don’t want to do my landscaping at the speed of battery rechargers.
Refurb OK, also, with adequate warranties.
Oh, I was wanting one of their lawnmowers!
Wife bought one of their lawnmowers in April IIRC. She loves it. She uses it for the trim work in the yard around trees and between the garden beds.
When I saw this thread I am making it a point to stop at Home Depot daily to see if they discount their remaining inventory.
I’m for it. And post up discounted items in the deals thread.
I do worry about battery replacement, though. They have a backpack blower with 5Ah battery for $299. The replacement battery is $249. Ouch!
@djslack Seriously? That’s some inkjet cartridge type pricing right there.
@djslack @yakkoTDI 5aH for $249‽
Looks like you can get a reconditioned backpack blower w/battery for $224. I always love when a tool WITH the battery costs less than just the battery alone.
And of course they went with 56V, so it’s not like I could jury rig a battery from, say, a Ryobi lawn mower to work with it.
