8So my time on meh has been great.
And I feel like I'm pretty well know as the guy who always does the emphasizing thing by writing it on another line.

So screw it, to clear up some things, I may as well write this.
Yeah...
1.) I love knives, no real use for them, if they sell out Ill buy them on Amazon.
2.) I love speaker docks, just was too lazy to grab them while they were in my reach
3.) IP cameras are meh
4.) I absolutely love this community and how kind it is, and also how odd it is
5.) I surprisingly do like meh because it's so underground that it's awesome, but not underground enough for literally no one to know about it
6.) yes I am a high school student, so I apologize for the times when I make dumb forum topics (like this one)
7.) no I don't have a soul thank you very much
8.) no one really asked me this but I only have a two hour period tomorrow because of finals because I do not have a 0 or 6th period

Back when I was a Junior in HS (2006) I discovered Woot for the first time. I didn't really buy much and pretty much all but avoided the community forums because the community was already really strong and honestly a bit intimidating. Because of this, I'm super stoked to see a super young blood take such an interest in the community here. I really regret never doing that myself on Woot because there are some pretty amazing people on both sites. Now...because I relate to you, I shall offer one bit of advice that I received when I finally broke my shell on Woot...don't be a try hard. It's easy to go all out and create tons of topics and heavily insert yourself into the community. Unfortunately this can also be annoying at times and you might get some flack for that. Don't let it deter you from sticking around though.
Lastly. As a HS teacher myself I hope that you did well on your finals. I for one cherish this time of year as an opportunity to fuck with my students. My US History test had a T/F section that was all false...that was entertaining. My government class had Multiple choice questions that spelled out BERNIE IS A SOCIALIST.

@studerc If you really want to throw your students a curveball, make the last ones true. Back in HS, my economics teacher did that. 1-20 were all false, 21-25 were true. There were many B- grades that day.
@studerc I had a college teacher that graded on a curve. Where 10% would get an F, 20% a D, 40% a C, 20% a B, 10% a A. So you could get a 90% on a test and end up with a C. It was cruel. I was happy to walk out of that class with a B.
@MrMark That is a rough curve. It should be more like F=10%, D=10%, C=50%, B=20%, A=10%
@MrMark I had a class with a somewhat similar philosophy. 80% of the class received a C while 10% received an F and 10% received an A. You really had to scope out the competition on both sides. Out of the class of 20...only 2 people got an A so if you saw the overachievers in there, you knew there was no point in competing...Once that determination was made, you just had to focus in on doing "enough" to keep yourself in that 80% range.
@narfcake I love when teachers mess with students. Back in high school my Science teacher made a test in which every multiple choice question was exactly the same...if you were right you could get them all right...if you were wrong you'd get them all wrong...or you could play the percentages and break up your answers into groups of 2 or 4.
Gotta teach the kiddos real early that sometimes life just likes to fuck with people.

@MrMark @studerc I had a bio professor in college who asked notoriously hard questions of the likes of "which of these is the most/least correct?" and anything above a 75% was an A... some genius wound up getting a 99 and I slid in with a 78 sooo
