@f00l@narfcake So many lols in one short clip!
I especially like at the very end where the cat looks directly into the camera like, “did you get that?”
@Kidsandliz@tinamarie1974 Yes… As I watch, I do imagine how amazing it would be to just sit on the ground in the middle of that herd and let them swarm me. But I’d want a hazmat suit and a shower.
@Kidsandliz@narfcake@tinamarie1974 I do love the big, sweet doggies, but can’t stand the slobber.
A buddy had a big, lovey Newfie who thought he was a lap dog.
The one thing that overwhelms my innate attraction to adorable fluffy things is my innate repulsion from slimy, gooey, gross things.
As sweet and lovable as Finn the Newfie was, I eventually took to ignoring him so he would unlearn his assumption that the attention I initially gave him meant I was someone who wanted to cuddle and snuggle him at all times.
@ybmuG no new puppy for A WHILE. I just want to pause and be just me for now.
He died from respiratory failure associated with pancreatitis. He was in the ICU under oxygen and nothing I did made it any better. We would make progress and then something else would happen that required attention. It was just horrible
@DennisG2014@Kidsandliz@narfcake@tinamarie1974 Yeah, that was one of the critera - no slobber. The other was minimal shedding due to allergies. Mackie fits the bill quite well, though he’s sick today. Wondering if he got something either from the in-law suite or maybe a bad kitty truffle.
@tinamarie1974 No good way to go through that. Completely understand the “be me” bit. When the right one comes along, you’ll know it, and it won’t feel like cheating.
@DennisG2014 I once took care of a friend’s dog and two cats. OMG I destroyed about 5 years of carefully ignoring the dog so he wouldn’t slobber all over me. All it took was giving that thing 5 days of attention and walks and 5 years of careful training was tossed out the window. Here we are almost 3 years later and he still is hopeful I will give him attention and so deems it appropriate to drool, slobber on and lick my feet, legs, anything else he can reach…
@tinamarie1974@ybmuG Oh, I’m so, so sorry. I’ve been down that road as well. It sure sucks. But, if you’re like me, they’ll “send” you someone.
My dear sweet Wolfie sent me my “Angel” whose photo I saw at the Pet Supermarket where I shopped. She was his spitting image, thought i was seeing a ghost. It was just over a month after we lost Wolfie to a yearlong bout with cancer. Beautiful Angel was a stray (!) at the Humane Society; the store manager at the time made a point to post pics of those needing forever homes. It was just. Too. Soon. But I found myself dropping to my knees, crying like a fucking baby, and took it as a “sign”. She came home that very night. I’m convinced she was “sent”
@DennisG2014@narfcake@sammydog01 my drum teacher in high school had a rotty who was in excess of 125#. I sat in the front seat of his van and the dog was shoulder high. Bruno was quite intimidating. But actually a sweetheart.
Everyday is National Dog Day in my house as I am sure ya’ll are not surprised to hear. Well you all know Puppy, and Ponyo from previous posts, but it seems like a perfect time to introduce their new sister rescue Pomeranian - Mishka
Here’s my new goofball.
@sammydog01 oh, yes. He(?)'s got goofball all over his face!
@ybmuG She. Her name is Cora after a video game dog.
@sammydog01 that’s prefect.
@ybmuG What’s your little fluffball’s name?
@sammydog01 Macallan. Had to name a Scotty after a good scotch…
Awww.
/giphy puppies
@f00l I just keep watching that over and over and I laugh every time!
@f00l Call that a giphy redemption!
/giphy yay doggies!
Stupid /giphy. This must be one of those odd versions.

(@Spiritgreen - any chance of seeing a Dog 2.0 in the future?)
@narfcake ok, for a cat in a dog post, that’s hilarious!
@narfcake @Spiritgreen aaawwww
@ybmuG Yeah, /giphy isn’t always the most logical.
/giphy not a cat
/giphy not a dog
@narfcake @ybmuG yeah, but those were “close”… a cat and a dog saying “NOT!!!”
@llangley @ybmuG
/giphy not a cat
/giphy not a dog
@narfcake @ybmuG I can’t stop watching those dogs
@llangley @narfcake i’ve probaly seen it through 50 times. It’s those last three hops…
EVERY DAY is National Dog Day!
@llangley yep, just ask any dog!
@eonfifty Spike?
@ybmuG Bucchi.
@eonfifty Awesome (and much better than Spike!)
POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
@ruouttaurmind Molly & Baxter?
@ybmuG Miss Belle (right) and Zoe Monster (left).
@ruouttaurmind Awesome. They look like they’re having a “I love you, but I’m not speaking to you right now” moment.
HIKING! VIKINGS! STRIKE KING [BRAND FISHING LURES]! AWESOME!
@ybmuG They do that often. They usually act like they don’t care about one another, but they are inseparable.
@mediocrebot When you have to explain it, it just loses something.
I’m pretty sure I don’t need this

@narfcake
Naw. You probably need it.
/giphy dog cat
@f00l @narfcake I love this! How the fuck did you get under my butt???
@carl669
@carl669 @mediocrebot I figured as much…
@f00l @narfcake So many lols in one short clip!

/giphy ghostbusters cats and dogs
These are not dogs but they are happy. Does that sort of count?
@Kidsandliz Sure, but just don’t tell my dog…
@Kidsandliz
/giphy happy cats

Imagine walking through the forest and encountering this bunch…
Just the sound alone makes me want to take a shower to rinse off the slobber.
There’s lots more where that came from, including teh puppies! Check the Youtube channel for more herds of panting, lolling, slobbering joy.
@DennisG2014 omg I would to be in the middle of all those fur babies! So sweet
@tinamarie1974
You would then need this though
/image dog poop pickeruper
@Kidsandliz and likely a towel for all that slober. But they are adorable.
@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 Yes… As I watch, I do imagine how amazing it would be to just sit on the ground in the middle of that herd and let them swarm me. But I’d want a hazmat suit and a shower.
@DennisG2014 @Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974
My (late) doggie is an English Mastiff. A shower is an understatement.
@DennisG2014 @Kidsandliz nah, no haz mat suit. My fur baby passed away a few months ago and I would very much enjoy all that puppy time!
@tinamarie1974 yeah, I get it. Have you recovered enough to consider a new puppy?
@DennisG2014 Are they yours?
@Kidsandliz @narfcake @tinamarie1974 I do love the big, sweet doggies, but can’t stand the slobber.

@ybmuG Oh god, no.
I’d love to visit, but no way would I want to live there.
@DennisG2014 @Kidsandliz @narfcake @tinamarie1974 Yeah, that was one of the critera - no slobber. The other was minimal shedding due to allergies. Mackie fits the bill quite well, though he’s sick today. Wondering if he got something either from the in-law suite or maybe a bad kitty truffle.
@DennisG2014 Bella thought she was a lap dog too. At 100 pounds.
@tinamarie1974 That is sad.
@tinamarie1974 No good way to go through that. Completely understand the “be me” bit. When the right one comes along, you’ll know it, and it won’t feel like cheating.

@Kidsandliz Haha, yes - every once in a while Finn would charm me into giving him some attention and I’d always end up regretting it.
@tinamarie1974 @ybmuG Oh, I’m so, so sorry. I’ve been down that road as well. It sure sucks. But, if you’re like me, they’ll “send” you someone.

@carl669
@DennisG2014 @narfcake There’s a mastiff at the dog park named Bella. She’s a sweetie. I’m pretty sure she’s waaay over a hundred pounds though…
There are also Newfoundlands and a malamute. So many giant dogs at the dog park.
@DennisG2014 @narfcake @sammydog01 my drum teacher in high school had a rotty who was in excess of 125#. I sat in the front seat of his van and the dog was shoulder high. Bruno was quite intimidating. But actually a sweetheart.

@cardiganb aawwwww she is beautiful
@cardiganb looks like Puppy and Ponyo won’t know what hit em!
@tinamarie1974 thank you - she is our little bear
@ybmuG the funny thing is … she did not make a sound for about a month… then she barked so loud with a little howl mixed in it shook the windows
This thread is a lotta…
I was raised by a dog - Hans, our Weimaraner, would babysit me for hours when everyone else was busy.
@stolicat they are beautiful dogs. If we could do a dog with fur…
Here’s my pooch & her girl (my wife) chillaxing & enjoying a little sunshine on the bed. Any day w/ the pooch by our side is a great day!!
Yes, they really do own you, don’t they? Avalanche?
